I'm a new player with a quick question. I have been saving all my drops in the warehouse. A very helpful player that saw me training at lvl 10 with my club, asked me if I was going to be in that area for a bit, then returned with a Falchion, Bronze breast plate & gaiters, and a Bone shield.
I have over 100k and I don't spend any. Should I sell the materials in a store or keep stock piling for crafting later on?
stocking the basic mats and selling the keymats would be my advice, sooner or later you're gonna need to craft stuff and if you sold the basic stuff you're gonna wish you had kept it, lol

keep all basic mats (like animal skil, bones etc.) for your future crafting and sell other garbage (bone breastplace parts, forest bow shafts etc) to store.
You have been wise to save your mats (rather then sell them to the npc vendors).
Just hang on to them until you make it to Giran.
Once you make it to Giran spend time checking out the player shops to see who is buying what and for what prices.
DO NOT SELL YOUR MATS THE MOMENT YOU FIND A PLAYER SHOP BUYING A TYPE OF MAT YOU'VE STOCKPILED.
Sorry for the all caps, but it can be exciting when, say, you've stockpiled 50 varnish and you first come across a shop buying them for 200 adena each. However, you'll be slapping yourself on the head if you sell there, because a day later you might find a player shop buying varnish for 500 each, or 600 each, or even more (depending on supply/demand).
So, patience is the key. Once you get to Giran take the time to observe what things are selling for on day 1 in Giran. But don't sell on day 1. Keep tabs on prices over several days, at least, before selling your hard earned mats.
If you play it right you can turn a modest cache of mats into hundreds of thousands of adena, or more, just with what you collect in the newbie areas. But you have to know the market before you sell to it to make sure you get the most for what you've got.
I sell when mats get to crazy prices, you need to know the history of the market for that though. For example animal bones were usually around 350 but more than once they jumped to 1,000 so I sold all I had.
I don't care for crafting weapons though, pain in the butt. Armor is alright though.
I usually NPC all key mats from non top grade armors or weapons. It seems that people only want to buy whatever is top D, or top C, or top whatever, so trying to sell mats for the rest of the armor and weapons, unless its specialized, is kinda hard.
I'd say if you plan to craft and know what armor you'll be jumping into when you hit C Grade,B grade,A grade and so on,take a look at what you need to make those items and what those items require to make those. save your basic mats because those you need to make high grade mats like Varnish of purity which takes varnish and thats a basic for example. If you plan to just buy your gear from someone then shop giran prices for a few days and sell when the price is right if you desire.
