After running the quest (and i mean running... not teleporting... >_<) i finally got the cuuuuuute hatchling -a wind one btw-
For what i've seen, it will take a while to level it, but i'm having fun with it...
My question is... does exist any quest for pet shots, food or even armor/weapon? if not... is worth to invest in pet's equip? (considering i'm not rich, so i probably will buy the cheapest gear...)
And in general, i'll apprecciate any suggestion on how to raise these little lizards :P

There aren't any pet gear or consumable quests that I know of at this time.
For the hatchlings, the 1M gear (Torturer weapon and equiv armor I think.) is pretty decent. Mine (Wind) seems to do the most damage and get the most XP from having it open with Wild Stun. I'd definately invest in some armor for it, even if you go cheaper with the weapon. More armor = more time for it's UD skill to kick in if it's in trouble. It also lets you try and pull aggro off before hitting the UD, as well as take a few hits if something spams a Nuke or skill. (Those tend to randomly target/hit your pet)
Yes, try to avoid any type of AOE mobs, and definetly magic mobs since they randomly switch targets on those that are hitting them.
One other thing to keep in mind about pet gear, is that you can upgrade them at any pet manager for adena+gemstones. So if you started out with the lowest obtainable gear, you can eventually upgrade all the way to the top level gear. Using this method though, you would end up spending more in the long run then if you just buy the highest you can afford now.
And just so you know, the highest gear that the pet manager sells, isnt really the highest. You can upgrade the gear further then that.

right now i'm leveling the lizzy in death pass (still a newborn lev 35 :P)... wyrms and basilisk seems quite good (he actually said "tasty" :P) and i can easily hate 'em all the time ^^ (i just need to watch out of wyrms nukes, but a hit or 2 doesn't seems so dangerous...)
I like how the (Wind) Hatchlings Mdef/HP/Pdef is actually halfway decent.
My wolf is so much weaker in the defense department. It can take maybe 1/4 the hits a hatchling can, and its Mdef is laughable. It can barely take a single nuke, while the hatchling can take 2-3 before it get's into 'instant death' range.
Granted my hatchling (now L52) is slightly over-leveled compared to the mobs I fight with it, and my wolf (L57) is the opposite being under-leveled. But then again, I use the hatchling with dwarves and the wolf with an OL. Which makes a big difference in where and What I hunt, versus aggro that hits the pet.
Yep, even unequipped, i'm happy how Wind hatchling is doing ^^ is not like glass, so no worry to have it dead at every second (as i've seen happening for all these baby cougars, wolf and whatever around...)
i'm doing little wing quest a second time... this one for reselling, so i can get some extra adena to decently equip my one :P
dunno sell price for Devianne tho... :X
