I'm currently level 69 (or at least **** close to it) and am still sporting the BW robes that I've had for months and months and months since 52. I'm actually quite content to stick with the BW because it's a very nice set of robes, especially for PVE (and they look pretty cool too, though I'm getting a bit tired of always being in them, or me being A-grade for months and some newly-61 person jumping straight into A-grade gear with me still in B).
At any rate, I'm thinking it might be about time to see what I and my clannies can scrounge up for A-grade robes. The way I see it, I might be using the BW for PVE and the other robes for PVP (or I could sell the BW for some extra change for the A-grade, if the BW mana bonuses won't be all that noticeable).
So what do you advise is better for a bishop (with +5 WIT/-5MEN tattooes (might change to +4WIT/-4MEN, +4CON/-4STR, +4DEX/-4STR after the robe change)? Tallum or DC? The bonuses on DC seem like they'd be better for me, since I don't ever get poisoned or bled (except occasionally in PVE, but that's easily remedied), yet I get paralyzed relatively often in sieges by medusa dances, and the cast-interrupt resist sounds nice, as well as the run speed bonus (I'm always the slowest :mad:). The +8% pdef bonus sounds good against the dual-sword gladdies/BDs who occasionally get close to me, maybe not much for the archers/daggers since they crit so often and do massive skill damage anyway. But the +8% mdef of the Tallum seems to carry a lot of weight because it's the mages I fear most in PVP.
MAJ robes for stun resist.
good vs archers, tryants, dwarfs, WL's, and tanks.
Has +8% to MP regen. but doesn't cast as fast as dc or tallum.
The difference between Tallum and DC, is that tallum is -2 INT, while dc is - 2 men. When you already got +4 wit from tattoos. you will have -6 MEN, and gain +2(6 total) WIT with dc; Or -2 int, and gain +2 wit with tallum. not losing any more MEN, which is your mp pool/ regen/ M df.
leaving you with, +6 wit, -4 MEN (tallum); or +6 WIT - 6 MEN (DC).
Sure run speed is nice, but you could just get a strider.
IDK what type of classes are in mass on your server (mage, or archer). But I think MAJ is best bishop robe.
Majestic is the A grade upgrade to BW. The mp regen is better, extra mp boost, and the stun resist is godly. I did a lot of sieging, I know. Especially with the horde of archers we see these days. No extra wit, which is lame.
DC is also sweet because of the casting speed (the extra WIT) and run speed. It does minus men though. No mp boost.
Tallum is more or less if you just want to blow money on A grade, IMO. Wit bonus, with a minus to INT which is sweet compared to minus MEN but no mp regen, no extra mp.
I went from BW to majestic, I wore BW clean into level 72. I almost want to get DC but I can't seem to pry the stun resist off my body, it's too hard XD
