Newbie spellbook question

Hi all;

Just got the game today. Have enjoyed what I have seen so far. I have created an Elven Mystic who is presently Level 6. I purchased a couple of spellbooks with the intention of using said spells:

Battle heal
Ice Bolt

What do I do with the books now that I have them? I have tried right clicking, dragging them over to my character area, placing them in my shortcuts...nothing, cannot use them. Is there a level restriction for these spellbooks?

As well, when Im at the vendor purchasing, is there any way that I can tell what the spell actually does? ie hits for so many hps and cost this many mps?

go to the temple, learn skills from the books by the trainers. they will require you to be specific levels to learn them, and be specific class.

Mystics cannot use fighter skills, etc. always ALWAYS look to the trainer before you look for the book.

Ah great...thanks spudnik. Can I ask, where might I find a little guide that could point me in the direction you just did. I would like to reserve my noobish questions for the ones I really cant research.

At lvl 7 (for you) you will get a pop up window that tells you that u have skills to learn and what not. Above your head will be an arrow pointing you to the guy you need to talk to. Pay close attention to those tutorials and pop ups.... That is how you will learn the ropes. Might I ask what server your on?
