Soloing a LVL 47 Necro

Player Questions Started Last reply 8 posts
Been working on getting my necro to b grade and have been grinding at the sea of spores for a while but i think its becoming a bit too slow...

Anyone have any advice where I could solo with the minimum use of pots for the next several levels

Thanks for the help boys
I'd head over to Aligator Isle or to Enchanted Valey (mind, don't know how well that would work for you... its where I leveled up my pally).

Inch.
middle of dragon valley is probs good
The thing about AI and EV is that those are multi-HP mobs. Good for tough melee classes. But, I'm not sure how well they work for a necro. Maybe IT, DV, and the Cemetary area might be more suitable?
Yeah I tried EV and spent way too much time kiting, sitting, and using pots...

The thing that is killing me is the nukes I have I feel either cost too much mp (Vamp claw), cost too much (Death spike requires a ****ed cursed bone), or are getting a bit weak (blaze)

When I go to dragon valley if I use blaze its taking me around four shots to bring down those mobs... thats rediculous lol... I think I'll just hang in there at Sea of Spores for another level or two since I hit 50 last night... In the middle it gets a bit tougher anyways, bust still 46-50 has been really awkward for me...

I need a pet buffer/healer
Mobs around IT (not in the pit, I mean the formors and what not) should be about 3 blazes to kill if I remember correctly, and a few of them should be 2-shottable.

Once you hit 48, buy a zillion cursed bones and start using your death spike. It doesn't cost a ton of mp and hits as strong as any other nuker's main nuke.

Vampiric claw is a drain, so it's ridiculously priced in terms of mp - just like all the other drains are.

But yeah, getting to 48 with a necro is the hard part, after you get your death spike spell, everything should be smooth.
Yeah I got death spike... you think its worth it to but a ton of bones and just use spike? Should I blaze then spike or just spike 2x?

Those ****ed bones
Once you get death spike, you probably should find the monsters you can two-shot with death spike that will "waste" as little damage as possible.

If your death spike hits for 800 damage, go for monsters with 1550 hit points, for example.

And if there are weaker monsters about, experiment with blaze and death spike to see how many of each are needed.

But then again, it depends how much you care about adena or not. The last blaze costs 30mp and the first death spike costs 23 mp. When you get that death spike, your vampiric claw costs 70 mp, so not a huge difference between the costs of death spike and blaze (compared to vamp which is almost 3x the cost)
