FPS drops with teleport ??

I was still having 40ish FPS at the Aden GK, then dropped down to 17 after I teleported to a different city.

but if I restart my computer and load the game again I then get around 45-50 FPS at the same place where I had 17 FPS before restarting...and it happens every single time I teleport.

anybody else having the same problem ? what's going on and what can I do about it.
proberly just the game loading the map and mobs/players etc., if you wait a few mins it should short itself out
OH KNOW MY CLIENT IS TAKING TIME TO LOAD AN AREA AFTER I INSTANTLY APPEAR THERE WHY IS IT SLOWING MY EF PEE ES DOWN
Only that the computer is loading all the stuff... as stated above just wait and you should notice a better change in your FPS.
No need to insult the OP. He did not just complain that the FPS slowed down after a TP. He also pointed out that the FPS was higher if he re-started. In both cases, the map has to load, so I don't know what explains the difference.
On my own PC, I get lots of initial lag both when starting up and when teleporting. But if I do a lot of SOEing or TPing in one session, sometimes my computer seems to permanently slow down, and doesn't really recover unless and until I re-boot my computer. Frankly, I suspect the code for teleporting and SOEing has some low-level bugs or deficiencies.
Nah. It's not just teleporting. There has been a well documented memory leak since C4.... even if NCsoft denies it. It doesn't matter if you're running dual core... how much ram you have.... how big your cache/page file/ virtual memory ( whatever you call it ) is... after you view a certain amount of land... this will happen.

There are only a select few PCs that people say do not suffer from this.
Thanks for that information. Now I know for sure that some times I really just need to re-boot my PC. And this could be part of what is affecting the OP, who knows.

that explains why....thx
Yep. The deciding factor is a complete mystery. Like with the current problems with GG.... if they can't identify what is making the problems.... it doesn't exist.
