clan crest

I am new to this clan crest thing and getting it into the game. I thought there was section in here that explained how to do this. I have the design I want and the size it needs to be. Now need to know how to get it into the game. If there is a post or a link with a guide on how to do this please let me know. Or if someone can explain on how it is done I would be greatful. Thank you in advance.

Well back in the old C2 days: put the file in 8bit bitmap format (16x12pixels dimension) into the system folder of L2. In game just hit the crest-button or whatever it's called these days, and type the name of the file.

When you try to register it, the client should tell you the specifications needed for the clan symbol.

also make sure your clan is lvl 3 :p and GL

When I try to register it, I get file not found. If I go into the system folder it says the crest was last updated with the time and date. Which is interesting because nothing has changed.
Do I need to talk to an NPC to register the crest first? Or do I just register it through the crest edit on the clan options? Sorry for all these questions just this part of the game is new to me. lol

Try putting it in your root folder.
And no, you don't talk to the NPC.

fyi, your crest needs to be a 16x12 256bmp image. place the crest in the system folder of L2. when you click to edit crest, it will show two options to edit. make sure you select the top one, which is clan crest. when you get the pop-up window, you'll need to enter the complete file path; for example, if your crest is named Green, enter:

c:/Program Files/Lineage II/system/Green.bmp
