Do Assassin or Ranger pull?

Sorry to be a noob.. But just wanted to know.

If they can do, can someone make a list of what jobs pull and what jobs tank?

not sure what you mean by pull
if i understand it right then pretty much any class can pull 99% of the time

at higher lvls certain (all?) daggers are the best at pulling because they get a skill called lure

pull = bring mobs to you to kill.

tank = take all the damage from the mobs.

pullers are archers or mages. but advised that they only pull one mob at a time. tanks can pull with the Agression skill, too.

tanks are anything with solid defences and attention-getting skills (like agression, hate aura etc).

In FFXI I was bad puller, I dont mind tanking. But pull blah. lol.

No you do not have to if you don't want. If party tells you to pull, then tell them you do not want, you will sort it somehow don't worry. Basically anyone can pull, but people prefer somebody who runs fast and can separate mobs from other social ones around, so daggers work good.

Speed isnt necessary ;) It depends on the actual player skills too. Seen some really horrible pulling by daggers, tanks and about every class that there is. Some dont look around and some dont know which mobs are aggro, social aggro etc.

All classes can pull, others just have better skillsets to begin with. But no class forces you into a puller role.

All depends on where you are hunting and what type of party you are in... also assassin is the DE melee class before you choose weather you want to be a Abyss Walker or Phantom Ranger.. Also depends on your play style with my AW i used a pole and was able to pull better than a dwarf.. Although i dont really see to many PR pulling mobs mainly tanks pull and tank..

1.What classes use dual weapons. 2. How do you put you're skills into the to hottab? Everytime I drag a skill down it doesnt stay. XD

Well any char can use duals, but the two classes that specialize with them are Blade Dancer and Gladiator. Are you on bartz? Might can help you better with in game chat if you have any questions.

odds are your bar is locked
look for the little blinking padlock on bar

Press teh padlock and it should unlock. On the other side of the hotbar should be an arrow icon. Press this to bring up a second hotbar. This is usual place to drag any self buffs/potions etc onto
