Actually since Lineage2 and Lineage3 are two seperate games and the team of Lineage2 got nothing to do with Lineage1, I fail to understand, how this board is the official site for Lineage3.
Yes, Lineage3 is in the same universe as Lineage1+2, but never has it been said, that Lin2 will die when Lin3 comes out. NCsoft did also bring out GuildWars and Rising Force Online. They made Aion and Tabula Rase and Auto Assault. All those are NCsoft titels and they got no real effect on Lineage2.
I believe you see the future of Lin2 far to closely tied to any future Lineage3.
Lineage1 does still exist by the way, altough Lineage2 is alive for years.

i see a big relation among the 3 games.
im sure that MANY left L1 when L2 went live, so same thing will happen when L3 hits the scene.

To me, Lineage3 is a complete other game than Lineage2. It does have similarities, but it will also have huge differences. Quite the same as the differences between Lineage1 and Lineage2. Personally I never played Lineage1. I don't know, if I will ever play Lineage3. I did play a dozen MMOGs so far and I stick to L2. Aion will not change that, Vanguard did not change that, WOW for sure got no chance to change that and I highly doubt, that I will switch to L3 as soon as it comes out.
And realistically speaking, the release of L3 is at least years ahead, so yes, I do not care in the least, if it is further delayed or not. Maybe in 2 years I am married. Maybe I do not play computer games at all anymore.
To me, Lineage3 is just another MMOG, just like every other MMOG on the market and so I cannot understand the hype about it. Noone is posting "OMG111 Vanguard was released ! The death of L2 !!".. Or the same line with Aion as the new release, as that is made by NCsoft.
People will come and go. Games last for a couple years as their prime age and then they slowly go down. Some faster, some slower. Ultima Online is still played and it is the grand grand granddaddy of todays MMOGs. Everquest is still played despite of Everquest2 being out for years. Everquest2 is still played despite Vanguard being basically an Everquest3.
I am pretty sure, that Lineage2 will still be played, even if Lineage3 is out. So that is why I do not see anything special or worth mentioning about L3 development being delayed.

Only if you rely on those "top players" for anything. I know that if the top of Lionna went to L3, there'd be a major dynamic shift, and I for one think that could be kind of interesting, seeing where people fit in after the fact.

Nope. It doesn't effect us in any way.... and NCNA isn't responsible for giving us this information. It doesn't bother me at all.
every l2 play i know said they will test it at the LEAST, sure not everyone will LEAVE for it, some wont like it, thats a fact, just like they come back after playing WOW ETC, but the graphics will be better, a better engine enabling larger epic pvp battles and also decent graphics to not lag on a siege field for example.
The game for those simple reasons will bring alot of them over.
Obviously you dont have alot of friends if players u have asked that question said that.

I expect to be grinding away on day 1 of L3 release. I hadn't even heard of L2 till C1 was in full swing and have played catch-up ever since. I'd like to be on the ground floor of L3.
And my interest in L3 is directly linked to my love of L2.
So, I see the relevance and I am interested. My suggestion would be, as with any thread, if you aren't personally interested, post in a thread that DOES interest you. Otherwise, you are just being a troll.

I got enough friends for my taste. Some left the game already and some will no doubt leave, before Lineage3 will even come out. Maybe even I together with them will leave for Lin3.
What I meant to say, is that Lineage3 is so long down the road still, that it is absolutely not that important, if the deelopment is stalled or not, as the OP seems to believe. Till the release of Lineage3, there will be a dozen other MMOGs, including Aion and as Aion was more tailored to the western market, I would rather see the development of Aion as important to Lineage2, than the sometime in the future maybe coming Lin3.

Btw, if you were really interested in L3, you would have known of this much sooner, since you would actively look up any info about it. And why would you look up for info? Well, since you're so interested as to have interviewed the majority of NA top players on all servers etc.
Of course people are interested in L3. Not necessarily dropping L2 to play L3 right from day one, but I guess everybody will like to at least read about the features of the game and look at screenies/videos.
But the point is that even IF L3 had not been delayed, it would not have come out before another 2 years minimum. So there is no reason to get all excited about these news - much can happen in 2 years, many players will have quit L2 anyway by then, and not because of L3 (but because of the constant lack of any feel for game balance NCsoft shows).
So I just cannot understand why the OP thinks this is such a huge problem. And NCsoft has a "NCsoft" site, why should they post about L3 on the L2 site, these are two different games and why should they make their "old" game look bad by posting news about a new game.
This is Lineage2, not Lineage3. And i feel that we shouldn't be worried yet when something is still in the planning stage.
Even if L3 gets canceled...How is this the end of the known world? :)
Anyways any news like this would be on the NC site, but an idea still in the planning stages..... No company would release any info of the such this early in the game.

I am looking at the tomorrow of games, but you are looking at the far distant future and make a hype of it.
Lineage2 does exist 3 years. Lineage3 is not realistic to be released within the next 3 years from now. So after Lineage2 is currently in its prime time, you are worrying about the future ?
If you turn 35, will you speak to your parents and children (if you have any) about your imminent death, just because you reached 50% of your average expectable lifetime ?
There is enough time to worry about Lineage3 and other possible successors of Lineage2, when the time comes for it. That is not today or tomorrow, but rather in roughly 2 years. Who can be sure to still be playing Lineage2 in two years ? Many people do not play for longer than 2 years yet.
I do not see, why Lin3 is worth any kind of news on a Lin2 site. You are not asking for Lin1 news either.. why is that ?

It is related to L2, and should NCS ever create an L3 forum, I'm sure most of these discussions can/should be directed there. Who do you think are the "top" players. Are these the same guys who ebayed and botted there way to the top in L2. The same guys who throw points to choose who will be hero.
The truth is that 90% of the top players are actually the scum on the servers. It will be nice if they leave for L3, so that the people who actually play L2 can compete.

The development of Lineage 3 is relevant and of interest to the Lineage 2 community. Information about that development should be available on this web page or on the PlayNC web page.
Major news and updates about the development of Lineage III will be announced on PlayNC.com, so please keep an eye on that site for information in the future! I know a lot of Lineage II players have an interest in Lineage III, but it is unlikely that any news about Lineage III will be posted on this site.

While this would make sense to have, you have to remember this is NCSOFT NA, where information is given long after its common knowledge.
Rising Force Online was imported and distributed by Codemasters, not NCSoft. It was originally developed by CCR who is, I am lead to understand, NC-Softs largest competitor in South Korea.

when l2 came out very few ppl completly left l1, and even if they did they pretty much left Lineage and Lineage 2 all together.
