Olympiad - fix it

11:34am EST, Kain olympiad is STILL OPEN!

TeamJesus been trying to throw some points lol!

Looks like Ncsoft buggered up the olympiad and its open outside normal hours on kain.

Please fix.

Lol yea its was funny to watch as other nobless found out and went against ppl form tj who were goign in with no weapons etc.

The Olympiad competitions on all servers should be running normally now. Please send in a message to the GM team if seems to be running in off hours again. Thanks!

And they'll reply with "We cannot interfere with player's action. Please use in-game means to deal with the problem ... " and close the ticket :D

Now this was obviously a fault that none of us could be aware of, alot of points were thrown in the time period to alot of people who didnt deserve them.

Will Ncsoft be resetting the points from this time period outside the allocated olympiad times?

We currently don't plan on resetting or changing points for this Olympiad period.

So just let me get this straight, due to a sever side issue, game altering events took place, and that is OK? Just sounds like your setting a dangerous change of precedence there. IF it is something that the servers were designed to do then fine please reinstate a 12 hr s+ Olympiad so that all may benefit from it.

They aren't changing anything. They've never altered the outcomes of seiges or any other PvP-related event because of server-side issues.

I'd actually say that they're following their precedents to the letter.

What difference does it make? Olympiad is a joke anyway. Nobody actually fights each other anymore, its about who can get the most free points from their clan so they can get their shiny hero title and all its abilities without actually having to earn it!

No, it's that NC won't make assumtions about how it would have gone. The only solution IS to keep things how they were and fix the problem so it doesn't happen again.

how can they not assume? they could just reset their points back to the exact numbers they were at the end of normal olympiad time.

It was open an extra 6-7 hours, now if you think it ends at 3am?ish for euros.. you get the point, you know none of them stayed up and it was all the american clans throwing points to each other
