I've been away from the game for a few years, but it seems like everyone in the Dwarven village lost their bloody minds while I was gone.
What is the story with the people with the random names that attack the guards with their bare hands all day long? I tried asking them but they all just run right by, too excited at the prospect of a meaningless death to answer.
Those are the 'unmentionables' that plague the game. They use outside resources to help play their game and kill themselves to the guards so they can stay in the same hunting spot for max profits.
They are Chinese farmers. They make alot of bot characters, dwarves usually, and "farm" adena... by delvling and killing the good monsters 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

actually while there are still chinese farmers in game i would venture to guess that most of the trains are made my NA and euro players. Many of them don't actually speak chinese, just enough phrases to make people think they are.
All the farmers that use bots to delvl their dwarves to guards... are 100% chinese farmers....
Players who bot do not delevel....lmao.. wth is the point..adena? lol there are much easier ways to get adena... heh
No there's no easier way to get adena than just sitting there. regular players run those trains at least as much as the pro farmers. That's one of the many reasons it won't ever help to ban chinese IP's. Because they aren't the core problem.

So you are saying there are a greater number of players farming in bot trains, over chinese farmers....?
No, lol. Just not happening, go look in the catacombs or necropolises..... The 24/7 bot groups are chinese... yes NA players make bot groups there too.... but they arnt there for adena.
Nah like, show me 1 screenshot of an NA bot group, I can show hundreds of chinese bot group screenshots.
Banning chinese IP would cripple the adena supply lol.... there are next to 0 adena selling websites that arnt chinese either....hint hint...
Hmmm. I had to think this over a bit. Well, there are 2 common groups of bots on my server, operating in CoA or Witches non-stop, that I run into all the time. In both groups, at least one of the players has a distinctly Chinese name. I never gave that much thought until I saw this post, just assumed the bots were operated by Chinese players, (I don't mean to be racist by that, it just seemed an obvious conclusion.) However, would a Chinese player operating bots on a NA server be likely to deliberately draw extra attention to himself by using Chinese names for his characters? It's an honest question. Just thinking about it after reading this thread, it seems like possibly an attempt at mis-direction by somebody who actually lives in NA or Europe (or maybe even South America).
I know enough chinese to make an american or euro think i'm chinese, i've learned it all in this game. The non chinese people bot for the same reason, adena and leveled characters for them to sell. It's no different but making it look like it's a particular racial group allows them to say "ohh yeah lets ban this country and we'll be fine".
Aye, you dont need to be Chinese if you're a farmer. Even for European/NA ppl, it is still a viable option of creating RL income, so why blame it all on Chinese?
And Crestfallen, how can you tell where from the bots really originate? By their gibberish names? By the _weak_ attempt at chinese talk they give sometimes? Show me their IPs or let it drop.
For all we know, all the trains could be run from Texas.
We know ( Cresfallen is an ally mate ) because we make deals with them all the time. We talk to them. We do favors for each other. We know. And it was the same on Lionna as it is on Franz. ( And Physics4ever can back me up here for Lionna. (Beyond aside ((( kekeke ))) we both know who ran the catas)). Im sure it was the same on Crestfallen's previous servers too.
Sad but true. Welcome to Lineage 2. Disagree and you are either ignorant as to who is behind those keyboards, or you are in utter denial.

noticed this several times. people who claim to be chinese and seem to only know 3 phrases, and dont know who the leader of their country is. its truely disgusting to see someone further a racial stereotype by pretending to be one.
On Lionna there's a distinctive 'flavour' to the names of the bot groups - and while I'm really not too worried about PKing an actual farmer group out of a room I want, more often than not now I lay off, as I am fairly certain it would not be jkjalala who comes to enforce, but a 'real' player.
Any reports you can send us when you see these suspicious players are very helpful. We know it takes up your time to send us reports, so any time you can spare is appreciated. Please enter their names exactly as they're spelled when you let us know about them.
We're dedicated to finding these players and removing them from the game. In the last year, we've banned over 100,000 accounts for third-party program use, and we will continue to aggressively go after and take action against these players.
And finally, as a general reminder, please don't post the name of bot programs here on the official message board. It's free advertising. :p
