Epic Collection Mask?

Did they stop giving people who brought the epic collection the masks? I went through all the steps and my toon didn't get one :(
masks are given out on maintenance periods. if you gave the mask to your toon today, you wont get one likely until next week on maintenance.

if however, you gave the mask to one toon before maintenance yesterday, you should have one.

check your personal warehouse.
And the mask is nothing special. Just a plain white mask, which only looks good on armors like Avadon.

I wish they had added cloaks or angel/demon wings instead as part of the Epic Collection.
It goes to warehouse? I didn't read that.

Checking...

...

Yea it's there. Thanks!

Anything that can make me look a little diff than the other 10001 Human Wizards out there is very welcome :)
Looks sweet with maj too.
try elven robes (not mithril) or dwarven chain.

I hear ya.

But my point is that since one is actually paying for the mask as part of the inducement for the EC deal, they should have gone all out and given it a nicer look, with detail and design galore. After all, it is EPIC.

For it just to be a simple white mask smacks of zero-to-little effort. Hardly noteworthy or epic.

Umm, Sin? I just bought two copies of the Epic Collection today. $10 bucks each. The mask is icing (or gravy, if you're from the South). Of course, I wouldn't have bought 'em at all if I wasn't forced to do so (trial ended, must buy box to continue). Going 'all out' and giving it a nicer look only raises the bar. Then they have to include something even better in the next box they ship. The ingame items are just an attempt to get an increasing Web-centric, Internet savvy customer base to use brick & mortar retail outlets. Otherwise, you could end up like SOE where some major retailers resist buying your flagship property's releases because they don't move offline. Besides, how many of you folks who have been playing for years would like it if you had to buy another box just to get one little fluff item because it's "OMG awesome!"? Or, if they followed their stablemate CoH/V and released the extras but you STILL had to pay for it (Good vs Evil feature pack, Hero pack, etc)?

Anyway, I haven't logged Desea in yet to see if she has her mask (though, considering I just assigned it to her 6 hrs ago, I'm not expecting it). Seems like a nice little gesture more than a 'must-have' item. Considering the fact that someone gave me a mask of spirits and demon horns and they sit in my inventory (those look godawful with clan oath heavy), it'll probably be a neat little thing to add to the collection.

Some would complain, but most would plop down the $$$ just to add that extra item. Especially if it were helmets, cloaks, varying hairstyle or skin color pots, etc., etc. I know I would.

In fact, I did.

I added the Epic collection upgrade simply for the mask...which explains my response. I wish they would have put forth more effort in its design, even if it was intended solely as icing or gravy. After all, what's the point of adding either if they are bland to the taste?

But I see some folks like them, so to each his own, I suppose.
I know I like it, heck in early c5 pts we were asked what type of gear we'd like and half of us immediately asked for the white masks, and were promptly denied XD

I personally wouldn't want it flaming, or glowing, studded with grills or diamonds. I think it's hot like it is.
I'd be happy if it looked like a death's head skull or a facial tattoo on my DE. No glow, studs or twinkling jewels needed.

One of the best game items ever was the plate-class helmets in EQ1. Many of them had a definite skull-like appearance, if one was a Dark Elf, though they would be in whatever colour the set they belonged to was (red, blue, black, bronze, etc.). Then came the ability to dye your armour with whatever custom colour you wanted...

Thus did many Teir'dal take to wearing bone-coloured skull helms.... with long, pointed blue ears sticking out of the sides.

The zealot skull helm (can't remember name, been a while since I seen one or had it linked tom e). It looks AWESOME On a Dark Elf. Most people wore it everywhere except when they raided (or were camping hard named mobs/mini bosses).

SOE now gives nice-looking faction modifiers to those who buy the boxxed set. This allows you to complete quests with less faction, and saves you hours upon hours of grinding mobs that give faction hits. Many of them have particle effects too (so they look hella cool). You get keychains and things like cloth maps, etc. in the box also.

The best aniversary gifts that are given are Veteran AA points, which let you do things like summon a jester that buffs/heals/refills your mana, summon all ur corpses in the world to you and give you a 100% rez for all of them, refill all ur mana, and max all ur resists for a time, and enhance ur crit rate substantially. They also gave a double exp weekend (all exp doubled from friday afternoon to monday morning). You get one every year on the day that your toon (or is it account?) was created. Happy birthday!

I have never seen an MMO game server so packed as I did on double exp weekend. I guess all the high end players were busy rerolling and PLing their alts, ROFL. If NCSoft gave a double exp weekend for aniversary every year, I think they'd probably gain alot of customers, the weekend is the time that lets people maximize their in-game time and grind like there's no tomorrow (and gain valuable lessons, AoE groups would totally own in catas/necros) :)
I got a mask last Tuesday so I am sure they still doing it each maint day..
