I've checked around to see if there were places where I could find out the effects to my attributes with from tats. So far I've mainly been using [removed], which while it doesn't actually display your new stats it at least tells what each change will do. I recently found l2 calc which I was happy about since I've been searchin for a skill calculator for this game forever and I noticed when I added tattoos the effects were different.
My main question is, does Dex +5, add 5% to crit rate or .5% to crit rate. [removed] says that a dex +5 tattoo should add 5% to crit rate which is what I want, but the L2calc I found says it will only add .5 which would really suck and would definitely make me reconsider my tats.
Just need a finalized answer, thank you for your help.
you need to know something about Crit as a stat...
the chance to crit in % terms means take the Critical Stat, multiply by 100 and divide by 1000. so a criticl of 200, means 20% chance to crit on target.
the modifier for dex adds a static number to your critical rate no matter what weapon youre using.
now go back to your L2dacl and throw Dex tattos on anything; bd, ws, archer, anything at all. note the change in critical with buffs, and without. you should notice exactly what i said.
Everything you just told me I already knew. I just need a finalized answer if +5 dex adds 50 to your crit number or 5. The L2 site above, which for some odd reason needs to be censored, says that dex +5 adds 5%, which in my entire time playing i've known to be fact. Now the calculator I just found is in it's Beta stage, so i'm thinking it's a mistake, but it would surely suck to be wrong. When I add +5dex on the calculator, my crit goes from 140 to 144, instead of the number i was expecting, 190.
So I just want to verify whether what I've believed to be true my entire time with L2 is fact, or whether i've been wrong this whole time and the calculator is correct.
+5 dex would not add a fixed number to your crit rate
it would factor into some equation which would mean one class might get 1% more crit and another might get 10%
