Newb Question - Mouse Movement

Has anyone else experienced pain in their index finger (first mouse button finger) from always clicking around to target, move, etc..? I just want to know if it will go away. I have played ( and still do) many MMOs and this is the first time, finger muscles etc hurt bad.

Why or why can't they make WASD viable? :( They can make a whole game but they cannot program WASD to work right!!
"you should properly stretch before and after any vigorous exercise." maybe they should add that to the little tips at the load-in screen.
I've not had problems with my fingers since they implemented automatical SS use (boy that used to be such a pain in the neck). Sounds to me like you're doing something wrong.

WASD is possible, but as in MMO games, it sucks as a way to move. :p

/agreed

@ OP: Be sure you take some serious resting periods in your gaming time and stretch your arms and relax your hands every now and then :)

Constant clicking with the mouse can tense your mussles, but as with any long upheld exercise you should stretch and rest ;)

I agree they should state that as a TIP on the loading screen.
I had fits of this, went out and invested in a much better mouse and mouse design. The Logitech ergonomic ones are awsome.
I click far away so I dont have to click right infront of myself anymore. I also use my hotkeys as much as possbile, I do with there was a way to add hotkeys to the 2nd and 3rd bars....

Actually in this MMO game it sucks as a way to move since the way they programmed the controls is extremely (I mean extremely) clunky. In other games I've played, it works well and is much better than the constant point and click (not to mention easier on my poor mouse wrist).

I would prefer it if L2s implementations of WASD controls didn't suck but I've gotten used to the point and click...it's just hard on the ol' mouse wrist after a while.

;)
I got Lineage a bout four days ago and was very dissapointed when i discovered how jerky and mouse intensive the movement in this game is. I have a couple questions.
1) Can you change the keymapping in this game?
2) Can I have another tray of visible icons/powers on the screen?
You can have up to 3 icon bars in the game
You may not re map the standard keyboard keys in this game.

I haven't seen the jerkyness you speak of. You may want to change your video options so that they are on the lowest detail and see if that helps. You should be able to do a 360degree spin very quickly in this game.
You will definately see lag in Giran and sometimes other cities if there is a large population, but having just started, there are very few people in the starter villages.
