Congratulations to Azza of the Franz server for winning first place in the Wallpaper Contest! Darsain of Hindemith placed second with his wallpaper, and Verstal of Sieghardt is the third place winner. Visit the Downloads section (http://www.lineage2.com/pds/wp_contest.html) of the Lineage II web site to check out their winning works of art!
I must have been drunk or drowsy... because I do not remember identifying myself as my SE Azza, or naming the picture Cold Lampin.
:edit:
Just went through my emails... and wow. Not only did I use a bad name for the image (local inside joke)... but I used a character NOBODY KNOWS to identify myself as.
Not so much scaling as it is saving it to jpg again. I deleted the PSD after I submitted the image after I found out I couldn't submit an updated version ( which I wanted to do... very badly )... so for this, I used the wallpaper version, resized it, chopped it up, and saved it as jpg again... losing more quality.... and it's starting to show in certain areas.
Hosting it wasn't an issue. It's the fact that it wouldn't be official that bothers me. I see no point in finishing gratuitous images... which is why.... if you've ever seen my DA gallery... I rarely finish drawings. The experimental phase ends long before a complete image does... so once I get what I want out of an image I stop. There is no motivation left. It has to serve a purpose... has some sort of meaning for me to finish it. I can't bring myself to finish this wallpaper just for the sake of finishing it.
Haha you guys really love/hate each other based on forums? What I tend to say is based on what's posted. So I might flame a person on one post and praise on the next. Anyway, grats to the winners but my new wall paper has a baby hatchling and baby cougar watching a butterfly.
