To our fellow Radeon Series Card users, DO NOT...!

DO NOT follow NCsoft's instruction and get the newest driver patch for your card coz it will drop your FPS in half !

I am not too sure if the newer cards (x1k series) allow you to use windows default VGA driver or not.. but if you have a older card, like mine, a 9600pro, the windows default VGA driver works TONS better than anything else.

after testing with 2 different systems with numberous of reinstall and uninstall. I've noticed that L2 runs 40+ FPS with default windows driver while any (yes, any, believe me, I've tried from 4.2 to 7.3, all of them) ATi's official catalyst driver are doing 20ish FPS at the same spot and same settings.

ive already got them, nothing changed, except for the fac ti crash MORE, and blue screen, MORE.. i say dont get them on the fact they are crappy..

i get bsod all the time since ive updated my ati drivers..... anyone to uninstall the drivers and see if thats the problem?

i was going to uninstall the drivers cause its making me bsod, but... i cant be arsed 2 move my mouse to do it.. so many other things to do~

Its in your Add/remove programs in the control panel, uninstall the ATI devices, including the drivers using the list generated their. then download the Old drivers again? i dont know if ATI has a guide on How to revert over delete and reinstalling.

i have no probs with the latest ati drivers ... i'm useing a 9700pro btw

I reinstalled my other computer week ago, has latest drivers, and no problems either. 9600XT here.

Well, since my X700 is built into my laptop's mainboard, I can't even use the official drivers - and the ones from the laptop manufacturer were last updated 2005. :(
