You're supposed to deliver them to some merchants. Something like 3 here, 3 there, and 4 over there? I can't remember. Most just use the 10 option so they can get to baium 10x.

you mean that you have to take the quest again if you want to go to baium more than once, if you choose the first choice with 1 fabric only? hope not...

yeap if u choose the 'visit emperor'-option u can only get one bloody fabric and after u used it, you have to do the whole quest again
You get cash, like 20k or so, and the quest ends, and you lose all the 10 fabrics.
Trust me you do NOT want to do it, I know by experience...
No, that is not what happens. You continue to get weapon parts and mats from repeating the quest. After every completion you can return and ask for more fabric to be bloodied. I used to do this quest in the C3 days over and over as we had an Innadril castle (the furthest delivery location).

Anyone that can confirm SithMaster or PleChan's story? Ty all for the input so far.

The quest was changed in C5. I did this 4 months back, and just got cash and lost all Frabics, and the quest ended, I could restart it from scratch if I wanted. Know this because the quest I was doing where misleading to go and talk with him doing my sub and screwed me over quite a tad bit.

When you return with the 10 blooded fabrics, you get sent to 3 other NPCs (I think Oren, Heine and Hardin's) and when you come back, you get a top B weapon part+mats and ten new white fabrics, if you choose to continue. So it is not really worth it, if you consider money for gatekeeping around and all the effort you have to put into the quest.
But if you ever talk to the NPC after having used even a single one of the ten blooded fabrics to port to Baium (after you have made all the fabrics red), he will insult you, take away ALL the blooded fabrics, give you like 20k adena and end the quest so you have to do it all over again from scratch, including the walking around/getting the first fabric part. So, never ever talk to the NPC until you have used up all the fabrics.
Especially evil if you are doing the subclass quest, since that one specifically tells you to talk to this NPC when you come to the "poke Baium" part.
So the deal is to skip the "speak with Hanellin part" while doing Fate's Whisper and just go directly for Baium?
Yes, the fate's whisper quest just tells you to talk to the NPC in the DE guild so that you can start the arrogant search quest (and get a blooded fabric so you can visit baium). There is no dialogue from him which specifically refers to the fate's whisper quest, so when you click "quest" you will enter the normal arrogant search quest dialogue. If you already have a blooded fabric because your clan does regular baium raids (or because you were impatient and simply did this quest already), you can just directly go to toi and poke Baium when you have the pipette knife.
We have two people in clan who already had blooded fabrics prepared and lost them while doing the fate's whisper quest, just because they followed the quest description and talked to the NPC, and then they had to do the whole Baium quest again. Sucks quite a bit when the clan is doing the TOI raids and you soe out after Longhorn to "just talk to the NPCs", while clannies are up on TOI13 prepared to summon you up to poke Baium...
