Manor question - doing something wrong

Player Questions Started Last reply 3 posts
I did a bit of manoring on my baby toon yesterday (not experienced in this at all) and I think I did something wrong when I handed in my seeds but not sure what.

I had 28 of one and 69 of another. I handed them in (which is where I think I did something wrong) and my reward was just 2 crafted leather for one type of seed and 2 Ori ore of the other.

What process should I be following when I hand them in? I selected the manor I wanted to hand in to (I had a choice of three) and put in my max amount of seeds. :( :o

Let me guess: You had 69 Blue Codas and 28 Chilly Codas. Both had their reward set to "2" (= Crafted Leather for the Blues and Ori Ore for the Chillies), The Blues' buyback price was 165a the Chillies' 210a or so (alternatively: you had 28 Blues and 69 Chillies, and the buyback was 400a and 85a).

Now, let's see. Assuming what I guessed is true, you should get for your 69 Blue Codas ...

69 * 165 = 11385a worth of mats.

Those mats have (in case of "reward 2", that is: Crafted Leather) a base price of 5700a each (you can test it yourself: an NPC would give you 50% of this, 2850a for each, if you'd sell it to him). 11385 / 5700 = around 2 Crafted Leather.

For the Chilly Codas, the calculation runs along the same lines:

28 (amount of crops) * 210a (buyback price) / 3000a (base price) = 1.96, or around 2 Ori Ore.

One final point: the "1.96" in the calculation above actually means you get either 1 or 2 Ori Ore. It seems like the chance for getting two of them is arount 96% in this case.
Doh silly me. Because I haven't done manoring for almost forever I forgot the simple rule of working out what it is worth (following the standard formula) before I handed it in.

Thanks for the reminder, I feel somewhat silly now :D :o
