We are all attached to our toons, in more than one way. Lineage II can be hard work at times. Naturally, we occasionally accomplish certain things in the game that we remember fondly. For example, for me I have 2 really proud moments. Both are clan related.
My 1st one is helping a good friend and clanny of mine level and reach her B grade status. She was experiencing some issues leveling so I was determined to help her level or die trying. I brought her to the Cemetary close to Aden on a Sunday afternoon and we grinding like crazy made for hours non-stop, killing anything and everything in there. Just as she was about to level (something like 99.89% XP), a few spawns too many aggroed and I did not manage to get them all off of her as I was out of MP and we both ultimately died. Determined to get it done, we went back for another 30 minutes and continued killing everything in sight with ferocious determination. When she got to put on that Avadon set, I felt truly felt vindicated in our efforts.
My 2nd proud moment is when the clan got together and got me my Heavy Doom Armor set, when I made B grade. I did not have 15 million just hanging around and I was about to miss out on a great deal. Clan leader and clannies all pitched in a few millions here and there and next thing you know, I had my 15 million adena and got my armor. You can't imagine how happy and proud I was to be part of them.
When most people aren't used to playing with a pro-tank and run around like headless chickens only to realize i still have everything kept under control and everyone is still safe as i do my job, 360 vision! :)
There are few things more comforting in this game than having a first class tank in your party doing what tanks are supposed to do.
For me though.......
Finally hitting 70 on one of my toons. After taking a BD to 62 (68 now) a SPS to 67 (retired), I took my WarLock to 70 and I am 8% from 71. I can still hardly believe it when I look up and see that "70" sitting where my level is indicated! I really wasn't sure if I would ever get there......Now it's go go go Arcana Lord! So look out 76 here I come.....
When i at 58 (after the c4 nerf) got my bigboom i went to test it in both PvE and PvP(arena) and it got a magic crit 1hitting mid-upper a grade SR for like 6k dmg or so :D
also another proud moment from when before minibosses became raids and the lord Ishka in DV.. me at 46 on my dorf (no golem out... i forgot about it >.< ), a healer (SE) at 42 and red8 on an SK at 48 took a lvl 60 miniboss out all by ourselves no other buffs than the low SE (can't remember her name sorry :/ if you read this do speak up ^^ ) :)
Well,
mine would be the first time me (SE) and a SK held the first room on the 5th floor when full groups would stop to see us wack the mobs without end.
That was back when ToI was not yet reworked (was that in C4?)
When my clan (including Vicktor) showed up to protect my budding SE from geting PK'd yet again while trying to finish her class change quest. They all immediately stopped what they were doing and showed up in full force.
On the same day, when my clan donated gear for my SE (boxed) who would not remain in the clan (as to not take up space) after graduation.
Many other moments I have filed away. Mostly due to others' kindness and patience.
Doing the healer specific class change quest with a low D m.atk weapon and banana suit (no set bonus) :p
I don't know, I can't think of anything out of the ordinary, that I'm proud of. Well, it was a proud moment, when I got my prophecy - and of course when someone actually wanted to have it.. :)
Siegeleader for first multi-castle owning clan on Hindemith
First player to step in Hindemith Dion throne room
2nd set of Full plate on Hindemith
One of the first 20 or so players on the server to reach places like heart of lair, top of toi, etc. Those were the fun days...before everyone started 2boxing dd's and saying no to parties.
Hehe I miss parties :/ Cruma wars...ToI wars...the good ole days are gone :(
I was farming cash to add SA Acumen to my Homu and two Elven Mithril Boots drop off mobs back to back. I was floored. Clannie laughed and told me "Not only are you overpowered, you're lucky too!"
Having fun working for everything that I get in the game :) Rough but quite a feeling of accomplishment when you finally get it.
Another one was when I was D grade and went for +4 on my staff of life. I KNEW I couldn't afford another weapon if I broke it but I needed a +4 in order to 2 shot the mobs I was hunting (without having to melee them dead after two shots). I've never had my heart pound so hard when I was playing a game before. My roommate thought I had seen a wreck out of the window in front my desk after I did it, I yelled so loud from the excitement.
My group of 14 or so players with various toons beating the entire server in 7 signs.... locking everyone -but us- out of catas/ necropolis.... that's definately a proud moment. Especially when our enemies spent an entire day beating our score... eventually succeededing... only to be beaten by us at the very end.
We won dusk against the rest of the server before.... but this was the first time we our group scored all 500 points in the festivals.
Transfering the rep points we gain from this was a pain though. Atleast that was +650 pvps for me!
My proudest moment isn't something someone would say is a great thing. A leader of a clan ****** me off once by ninja-ing a part of my gear back when you could drop upon death, and griefed my toon till I had enough. So I made a new toon (leveled it to 2nd class change) and joined his clan and eventually became an "officer". I was a good one too, backed him up and everyone else. Looked out for the lowbies and everything. :)
He was abit of a hot head though. Caused wars and the such, which I played diplomat and ended. So I used that to slowly cause dissention in the clan, and then I basicly called him out in clan chat about how terrible of a leader he was and detagged. That left a huge hole in the clan. The clan collapsed shortly after and his two other attempts at creating a new clan failed.
It wasn't my intent to make it go that far, but lol. What can I say? :p Still have alot of friends that were in the clan. The leader has since quit this game for that "easy one".
It's hard choice ~.~
-Hitting 79 on sws
-Hitting 75 on Prophet (Noblesse, and few prophets ever XP that far)
-Completing my +6 Tallum Heavy Armor set
However, probably: Getting my account stripped...It was horrible when it happened 8/ but afterwards my clan and friends, and even old friends I hadn't talked to in so long from enemy clans all helped me get back on my feet....It is time like those where you find out who your real friends are. Probably the biggest donation was from a member of my clan's biggest rival...after losing all trust from the stripping of my account...it is actions like that which still keep me playing this game ^.^

Mine is being 73 < almost 74> TK and never once letting someone else get behind the wheel and drive =D And being able to stomach nearly constant solo from 40- 73 =p

Revenge is always something to be proud of.
Bitter but sweet revenge eh? lol

Yeah this reminds me of another very big glowing highlight of my time in l2. It was for my dorf but is currently wielded by my gf's warlord and it serves her quite well.. A lance.. we manored precisely every single bit possible for that lance. We couldnt afford to buy one outright for me nor to buy mats for it. Some pieces were not possible through manors so we had to buy those (crystals and such) but every single part of that lance was made by us and us alone, no outside help whatsoever for us except for the 100% crafter friend ^^ It was **** hard work but i was so proud afterwards wielding my new toy.. though i think my gf was even prouder still :)
When at around lvl 32 i went to DEV, bought and equiped the cheapest NG gear then started hunting ashen wolves, and as soon as the pk'ers arrow hit me changing into my brig set and SoR, killing him and having him tell me that he was going to report me to a GM for harrassing a lower lvl player :)

Tanks so slow...though I was able to get up into the early 70s before the ABG days died down. C1 was great for tanks though...getting skills with the chronicle change was great.
When I had 20 people chasing me near Abandoned Camp and I was shooting everyone in robes.
When I went after a "RED" with my Elven Oracle. He logged out so I PKed his buddies standing next to him. Then had 5 attack me while being rooted twice. Healing and using heal potions and still managed to get away and add 3 more counts to my total. Then getting killed by a higher level toon. My greatest moment in this was when they were shouting they needed more help to kill me. I was only a Elven Oracle.
When I had my OL make a higher level use her BSOE to get away my Life drains. And this was with 2 vs 1. This same OL managed to kill an Archer twice despite being rooted/slept by the other healer. Making the healer run out of mana and run away before she died to me.
When my PK Hawkeye took on a higher level healer who kept rooting and sleeping two of us PKers in Abandoned camp. Then run away because she ran out of mana.
When taking on 4 in a party with my Sorcerer, killing 3 then falling to the archer in the group. My buddy comes in to help out and we ended up killing them 2 or 3 more times.
Many more instances of proud moments. I personally think the PVP system needs some twinking. My enemies can tell you they wished they didnt lose 4%.
Just got another one... and boy did it feel good. My current 53- festival char is a SH.... but I wanted to see if I could do better with a necro. So... I am leveling a necro. He is now 48... but here's where it gets interesting. With my gear/ buffer... he can now 2 shot mobs in VoS ( with, but mostly without gloom ).
Here I am running around in glowy C grade gear.... people 20 levels higher than me passing me by.... and I am killing them at the same rate as they are. Awesome.
My proudest moment was becoming the first Titan Hero on Hindemith, having done so without ever botting, buying adena, powerleveling, or anything else illegal. I was also able to do it without Epic Jewels and an A grade weapon without an SA.
Of course, there were no other Titan Noblesses, and I only got it by beating up on a dwarf, but...nonetheless, I was still a Hero for a short time.
One of my more memorable moments wasn't one that belonged solely to me.
In the cata's with a party. One of the members was trying for lvl 62 and had been for quite a while. Anyway our group decided we would get them to that level that evening.
About 1 hour before they got it everyone had run out of shots and pots. Unfortunately this was not an area we could stay in without the essentials and a few said they would leave. I am proud that I managed to pursuade everyone to stay.
After a small discussion it was agreed that we would stay in the corridor and pull a mob at a time. We had an archer so he pulled them, the rest killed and healed.
The guy who was trying for his level only needed 10% which although it took a while to get, we achieved and he left level 62, A Grade and a happy man.
gotta be hitting 40 and finally becomming an SR...(realy hard back in the day)... then crafting my soul bow(5 months of collecting mats) then hitting 75 and subbing, then hitting 76 and 3rd class... and crafting a drac bow (first one failed T_T)
next one will be antharas... can't wait to kill that lizard :)(been waiting for 2 years to get at that guy)
Wishing Well, L2NA's First, Oldest and Longest-running RP event.
Through hecklers, reds, griefers, gankers, PvPers, two (or is it three now?) changes of location and zero RP support from the game devs, the Wishing Well goes on.
Too many moments to list here (which is why I still play this wretched game :D)
I expect my next "proud moment" to happen this weekend when I finally get the HE to A grade.
That poor toon has been mothballed for ages. It took me awhile to really like playing an archer. SH's kill faster, SK's are more engaging, and BD's are just flat out more fun to play.
But the HE has finally grown on me. I'll be thrilled to see her in Majestic Light or Tallum Heavy, kicking butts (sort of) and taking names.
Back in closed beta, my RL friend and a group were making noobs pay to cross the bridge in Talking Island :p and I got angry even though they did not kill me. Me being the righteous one that I am brought my own party and kicked their :)!!! My RL friend ran like a baby. I still bring it up to him :p.
