Mammon and Seven signs, newbie question

Now that the first part of the event is over, I've handed over all my seals and gotten tons of AA.

My question is, is there any way to know where the Mammon guy spawns, and where does he spawn in the Necro ?

Checked out NoS when I logged in but no sign of him, I'm afraid that if I have to check very necro it's gonna cost me quite a bunch of adena in teleports.

Also, how long does he stay in one place ?

He stay about 30 min each place. A good way to find his location is to watch the hero shouts if they dont say anything pm them and ask them to make a shout for him.

God I hate being a newbie :O

Maybe it isnt activated by default but the Blue chat you can see all over the map is hero chat and you need to be a hero to use it.

Ah, probably not on by default on, since I haven't seen any blue chat :) Thanks for the tip.

Yes, that is the blacksmith who spawns in the catacombs. As was said, listen to the hero chat for a while, maybe they announce where to find him - or ask one of the heroes to ask for the location.

Oh, that leads to another question : how do you see who are the current heroes ?

every town has "the monument of heroes" ^_^ a sort of pillar with a soldier near it

^^ happens a lot... how many quests/feature i missed long the way... :P

Also, when you get there, you teleport inside and look in the entry room. If he's not there, he's probably not around. There are two exceptions I think that he spawns in the next room to that, but you don't have to kill any monsters to get to it, so visit the cata/necro until you see monsters and then go back to town :)

i have another question regarding this.

can i upgrade my low C weapon to a high C grade in one step or does it have to be in stages.

I am looking at the mithril armour in the lux shop and considering it and then upgrade to plated leather but if i can't do that in one step i may as well go for the theca armour.

Do not upgrade D grade to C grade through mammon, you lose quite a bit of money over just selling the D weapon to a PC and buying a C weapon. Sell your AA too if you need to, mammon doesn't give good deals when upgrading weapons (especially top D -> low C).

I passed 40 6 times now (not even that much compared to some other veterans from OB-C1)...advice for a newbie is, take your time to pass 40.
You will need your adena's and even more your experience in the game a lot after 40.
