I'm leveling an overlord on Franz..any suggestions?
Get an active clan that wants to party you. If not then you have a long long way to go and you should solo your way up.

From one OL to another?

...Reroll to Warcryer before it's too late.

Bah, don't do that! OL is fun, as long as you can get a good group to play with. It is a long slow road though, and can be painful, but fun in the end :) Warcryer == Boring :P

spot on.

Reroll, that's the only good advice I'd give an other foolish OL. Unless you're REALLY Mazochist, don't like getting fast exp, don't like partying and love spending zillions of adenas to get 1% exp. And have an oop SE to heal/recharge/buff you, 'cause no way you can afford to buff yourself + hunt with 200ish mp cost buffs and no "great" ones like the wc's vr/haste/cov/etc that eventually saves you mp on drains.
LOL.....you guys are sooooo funny. I never use SS on my OL and I seem to be doing fairly well. The trick is researching L2Blah to find out which mobs you can grind on. I happen to like the Lost Watchers myself. The XP isnt great but you can level as you make adena. Another location would be Bandit Stronghold. Avoid the Gargoyle Hunters because of the stun.

Another trick is to dual box with a higher level healer than your OL. Make the level high enough that the healer only gets half of the XP(500XP instead of 1200XP) than yourself. Its easy to setup macros to assist off your main and let him do most of the damage. You will still get your XP as normal. Just dont make your helper be more than 20 levels or he will not gain anything. I used a healer about 14 levels above and the mobs were deep blue to him.

Its long and tedious but you dont have to spend any money if setup properly.

Frozen Labyrinth at 53 - do the quest for crystals
Bugbears outside of Hunters village - drops the Brig Helm Designs
Bandit stronghold - do the Warehouse keepers quest in Oren
TIMAK orcs - do the coin quest

Probably other quests you can do as well. The point is level your OL up without using SS and do quests that will drop regardless of whether they are blue or not. You could probably do the Manor system for even more adena.

The Overlord is pretty awesome DD in parties. In the catacombs he can be very effective sleeper due to his speed casting not being nerfed as the others toons. Not only that but he has debuffs and other crowd control skills that benefit parties. You dont have to be a buffer to be useful.
First, ty for pointing out the positives for an OL and being supportive.
Second, well, you are not really up to a level where you have seen the pain of leveling. At those levels, the OL can do solo. I am in my mid 60's right now and everything they say is true. It is very hard to get level solo. You must have a good clan or good friends to take you out.

I wouldn't two box with a healer and OL. I would get a tank like a poler or something and 2 box with that and OL. That may get you somewhere.

Oh, keep playing the OL. They are awsome toons, but you will earn every level the hard way for sure.
Overlords are built around Clans/Alliances... make sure you have one. Until the devs wise up and make their buffs also hit party members you will require it to make the OL's buffs worth the mana.

I hate to recommend it, but a second-boxed recharger in clan is highly useful. OL +SE is actually bearable....
Having that SE be run by a live person is even better. (wife/husband/gf/bf)

OL are powerhouses, but require time and effort... make sure you have the gumption before you do it... anything less and you should roll something else.
