Story/Lore question.

Didn't really know the right place to ask this question, so I'm just going to ask it here;

Is there any set time (in years/centuries) as to when the Dark Elves were able to lift the curse that prevented them from walking in the surface world? (So, when they were able to walk the surface again)

They weren't forbidden from returning to the surface, the light was just abhorent and they fled with their goddess to the depths.

Though, iirc, they (Dark Elves) aren't in Lineage 1, which is 150 years in the future of L2, so something happens to them to force them underground again... and their city is sealed off again, from what I've been told.

They are in L1 which is 1000 years after L2, they came about after a few chronicles. At the end of L2 a cataclysmic event happens and they return to the underground for protection.

Pretty certain you're off by a factor of 10 or so, but w/e. I know it's not 1000 years, unless they changed it in C4/C5 for some reason... though I didn't know about the appearance of the DE in a later chapter of L1, as I don't play it, people who do just talk at me (note not "to" me) about it.

they are playable and yes it's 1000 years, they weren't always playable but becamse suck later on.
