An interesting take on buffpets

Actually you are mistaken...
it's the other way around.....
it's the warrior who's the pet....

you see......you train your pet (let him kill mobs)....
you feed and keep your pet in good health (heal and cure wounds)...
you give it treats when it behaves good (buffs)
and you send it to do your dirty job instead of you while you stay safely in the distance watching....

who's who's pet?

the one who doesn't get xp.
You had to XP the buffer at one point or another though.
Not nearly as long as you will exp the main.
That, of course, depends on how you keep it with your buffpet.

Of course if your buffpet reaches 75/subclasses, it becomes really questionable what is what.

Nonsensical, rhetorical crap. This is the type of attitude that makes people unable to understand the buffer's problems.

A valid point while the buffer is in party. Kinda falls down for OOP buffers tho. ;)

my buff pet is nearly 70 i always keep it in group its the most reliable prophet i've ever partied with =).

I can hear the steam coming out of live buffer's/healer's ears. But I just don't care. :D
It's the sad truth that many live buffers are unreliable - many people do pick prophets to have a class that can sit down for 20 minutes and regen. I have the fortune of being clanned with plenty of capable live SEs, but a good live prophet I have yet to see (apart from boxers playing their prophets live).

Maybe it's bad luck, but more likely it's because all the good live prophets are off in their dedicated groups with friends.
I keep my buffpets in party as well, unless I'm at 95% and actually want to lvl, I drop i then add it again to party.

When people want to come exp with me I always tell them the support classes stay in party. If they disagree they can go get exp elsewhere.

A lot of people I know kept their prophets out of party and then when they subclassed they would party it once they were close in lvl range and kept it in party until they hit noble.

A lot of people are changing their minds about keeping support classes at a certain lvl. There's more to offer now at higher levels than before it's not just more root lvls or higher bts/btb. Greater Might and Greater shield are very nice and theres also benefits from leveling some of the pvp skills like erase and mana burn, etc.
My DD pet is my clan leader :o :D
There's a symbiotic relationship between buffers and DDS.

DDs need slave buffers. And buffers need slave DDs. But most DDs acknowledge these needs and will box a buffer, while most buffers refuse to acknowledge these needs and refuse to box a DD.

A DD without a buffer is as useless as a buffer without a DD.

while most buffers refuse to acknowledge these needs and refuse to box a DD

It's because they still believe that they play a MMO, not a single-player game :p
Heh true, I know few people that control their buffpets better than actual live supporters I once met. They know what buffs they need in what situation, can assist crowd control with hotkeys and such.
... how did one got to 58 without knowing that fighters do not need concentration, mages appreciate greater shield and in FoD may come resist buffs in handy - that is question for another tread I guess.
Edit: OK not explicitly knowing, more like observing - if I see some mob is windstriking, I at least ask if Resist Wind would help.

Nothing against good live players of course.

oooOOoo....My Sin Eater is working me to death. Always taunting me too.
there is a really good live prphet on my server
i nearly passed out when i seen the guy throw on IC heavy and a set of S duals and start swinging after he finished buffing
Yup. I'll return out of the next party that is either too large to do this or *****es at me for daring to swing a melee weapon instead of planting my [censored] on the floor.

:p
The TS makes a funny remark and people go all serious about it in their replies :x
I'm afraid you've confused "funny" and "dumb" again.
Oh im sorry, guess your not funny.
You're confused.
