Going red from killing a flagged char

Hmm..well, I was trying to level my alt outside of dion when an EO comes and flags, and then asks for pvp, I accepted on my main, and...one shotted her. She came back (still flaged) was just outside of the peaceful zone when I one shotted her again..while she was STILL flagged..but yet I became red.
Any suggestions as to why this happened?

sometimes people's color's laggs. she could have really been white but u saw purple. If u had to hold control to shoot her she was white.

Ahh...can't really remember wether I held ctrl or not.its a habit of mine to do it anyways..even while in the arena..in any case with my pk score and karma you think if I petition I could get some compensation?xD

nah cause thats lag of your computer/connection not lag of the server so they say its ur fault :(

Eh..well I got my petition back from when I sent it..I just forgot you can only read the petition when you log the char you petitioned with.. Said something about the name was switching between white and purple (although it hadn't been)
and that it is part of the game. My ***.

Not NC's fault if you lagg. I have many times seen ppl that are purple on my screen and white on my friends screen because of lagg.

You was unlucky and as Tokara said if you had to hold CTRL down she was white.

Prolly they send "flag status" in a message separate from players' coordinates. When she unflagged, the message about status change was broadcasted to anyone nearby, but you were out of range, so it had not been sent to your L2 client, and your L2 client used the obsolete flag status to show to you when she became in range.
