Does the epic collection come with the account (activation) thing also, to where all I would need to set up my account is in the box? The account and time?
The security code can be used to either add 30 days to an existing account or create a new account. The 15 day time card is just a 15 day timecard.
Is that true of all "new accounts"? What i mean is; if i pick up some bargain bin version of Lineage 2 somewhere could i use the account activation code to pay for another month of play? :)
No. The epic collection has a full blown security code for account creation ( that can also act as a 30 day time card for existing accounts ) and a 15 day time card.
AFAIK you can use the serial code either to update your accaount to get mask, or create new, with no mask for your main toon then. At least that what clannie was saying when he fought some war over the phrases on box with NC support.
Isn't it a lot easier to /download the client directly rather than buy a dvd/cd version of the client !? Or maybe use your credit card and for as long you want to play l2 you just have to worry about funding that card :)

Look at the benefits of Epic collection:
1. white mask
2. 45 days time card
In the box as far as i know you get:
CD key.. which is a full payed account, i think it costs $15ish to buy
30 day time card.. which u can add to any account also about $15ish
And a 15 day trial, i guess if u used it on the cd key u get in the box, then add the timecard thats 45 days for that one account, or you could use the 30 day one on your existing account and the 15 days on the new one.
But yeah, definately a good deal.

You should be able to get the mask, if you create a new account. When I added the serial to my existing account (http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c332/miserylou/whitemask.jpg) I had to choose server and character to give the mask to, and this could be done at any time basically. It should be the same setup regardless of how old your account is :)
Yeah, same to him, but when he tried to create new account with serial key, it told him it's already in use. So he emailed support and got answer that he already used that key to upgrade his account.
