K.. i was lvlin my orc... i was lvl 10 then some noobs come and kills me... i lowered 2 fricken lvls.... now im lvl 8.... ITS NOT FAIR... pker was Sgtpepper, NukeYouLots and Baubles
Move to a new lvling spot. At lvl 8 it takes you about 20 minutes to gain that back? Getting pk'd at newbie lvls is a pita I agree. All you can do is make friends fast, join an academy or move.
Gotta tell you--I couldn't find your "question"....(just yanking your chain :))
If you change the verbage and name this is the same post that I made about 13 months ago. Caused me to smile.
I'll tell you the good advice I was given (which turned out to be true).
There are only a couple of usual reactions to getting killed in-game when you're a lowbie. Some players get frustrated and quit. Some players get angry.
Angry is good.
You won't actually ever be able to kill the people who pk'd you in all likelihood. And you will come to understand that the % for recovery gets MUCH steeper. When you get ganked at 45--honestly--you won't be able to hurt the high B and A graders that kill you then either. And that 4% loss will still take you about 20 minutes to recover.
When you're at 60 and get killed, it will take you the better part of an hour to get it back...and you probably won't be able to hurt the players who pk'd you at that level either (prob 70's plus).
Open PvP is a distinct feature of L2. Bluntly, you have to adjust to it.....or not.
I'll tell you the game is worth the ups and downs. If you're hopping mad? That's a good sign.
Level!
The OP might be new and really don't know where to go. To the OP, if you did the newbie quest when you first started then you should have received 12 travel tokens. Use these at the newbie helper to move to another town. Some towns have more pkers than others. Also in Interlude (coming April 11th), you can receive a buff that prevents reds higher than 10 levels from attacking you. So if you are giving this game a spin then hang in there.

You are right. Im sorry. Its been one of those snap first, chew leather, calm down days. There are some great places you can lvl in relative quiet. Try Elven Village as there are one or two good quests that you can earn adena while you lvl.

really? where is that
that was part of the content not tested by the pk squads following you around.
but true nonetheless. this buff is from the newbie guide, lasts 1 hr, prevents anyone with it from being PKd by any toon more then 10 levels greater. available up to level 40. thusly a lvl 40 can still pk anyone higher than lvl 30. and lvl 5 PKers cannot be touched.
I just re-read the Interlude notes Spud and that buff information is missing from them now. Unless its just too late for me to be able to read correctly.

Great advice. I'd disagree with Drakkos though. Anger does absolutely no good. At least it didn't for me. Anger is what makes the uninstall option look attractive. But I recall an article I read years ago ("Bullies on the Playground") describing how things often go down in open PvP games and it helped a lot. It's not about fair. If four dudes (or just one who is 5-7 times your level) decide they're gonna run up in you, well, your best hope is that someone brought some Vaseline. I've had my mystic hit for 1444 when she only had 300 max hp.
But, contrary to what I was told when I started ("Assume everyone you see is a ganker and make sure you see EVERYTHING. Remember Shadowbane?"), newbie gankers have been fairly rare from what I've seen. Just grin and bear it. Wish hateful things on the ganker's family if it makes you feel better (OUT LOUD, not in whispers or public channels. Yell it at the monitor).

That's true, they are rare now.
If the OP had been here during prelude/C1 he would have been on this forum every hour if not more.
To the OP: This is an open pvp game, for better or worse. You need to realize that you have it easy as people used to camp all openings of noob towns and just hit you as you left.
you have it a lot easier now. Besides, it can also be a little fun. One game I had when I was lvl 16 or so was to see if I could sneak by without being seen. There is none incident that is one of my best L2 moments as it took all my ingenuity to do so.
Besides, delvling one lvl (you can't delvl 2 lvls) at your lvl means nothing. What is going to happen when you are n the 70+ range and it takes hours to get back what you lost?
Just pick yourself back up and find another place to lvl. And remember, never give them any satisfaction.
Are you hunting in Orc Village area, or the mainland? Generally, greifers (and anybody else, for that matter) don't go to Orc Villlage because it's just so far away. So, if you went somewhere else to level, like DE Village, get back to Orcland, and you should be OK. PM me here on this website if you're on Seigehardt; I would be willing to help you get a few levels up.

From what i take he's at least under or around level 10. So he's a new player.....
I go back to newbie areas now and again to look for reds, since few are much over 40, pretty rare nowadays though. Most force log like babies if I can't one-two shot them.
If you are on Bartz, Please give a shout out.
PieWacket is the name. I am sure we can at the very least give you a clan tag, and we have a few players who could help you on your way.
Yes, I know he's a new player. And that most likely means he is in the Orc Village starting area. I'm just checking this point on the off chance that he has gotten himself somewhere else where life can be much harder.
