Its 10 years old! Its about time to bury it and say you've had a good run already. Why don't you pull those resources to Lineage 2 and now Lineage 3 and beef those games up instead? Makes no sense at all to keep adding content for a game thats 10 years old...bleh.

Also did you read what they added in that expansion for that game? Why the hell do they get PvE enhancements so much more than Lineage 2 which is a more current game?! I really don't get NCSOFT thinking and their business/marketting strategy. They are all nutz.

If they are still making a profit from it (And from what I understand, it's still going reasonably strong overseas) then there is no reason to discontinue it.

Remember, the money that they actually "make" on that game doesn't necessarily go solely to "that" game. Besides being reinvested into Lineage it also goes to fund other things such as operating costs, research (read: new games) pensions (if they have that type of thing) health insurance, etc.

OR, if it is losing money then NC can use that as a "write off" for their taxes (which is a very viable way of doing business. )
Lineage1 still makes more $$ than 4 of their other games combined.
exactly its the Lineage name...and yet...there is hardly any marketting for this game on American/European shores...makes you wonder.
l1 is bigger than l2, always was. in korea that is. l1 na is dead.
Prior to WoW. Lineage 1 was the most popular MMO in the world.
lin is awesome! thats the one that got me going on mmorpgs :)
Discontinue a product which is the 2nd largest MMO in the world atm? (WoW is first now). I'd call that a bad business/marketing strategy :p
