hi im 18 lvl dark elf Mage and i want to ask about the change that will take place in lvl 20
i want to have powerfull spells for damage and spells for healing, but also i want to have enough HP so i could go face to face attack and not only from distance...i hope i wrote it understandable :S
Dark Elf Mage has 3 options to choose from in the future. There is:
#1: DarkElf Wizard/Spellhowler/StormScremer
#2: DarkElf Wizard/Phantom Summoner/Spectral Summoner (cant remember last name, might be wrong)
#3: Shillen Oracle/Shillen Elder/Sillen Saint
#1 the spellhowler is your typical Nuker, lots and lots of damage, very nice mana management, lots of different nukes of wind and dark magic.
This does not fit into your desire to go head on thou, Spellhowler is dead if anything gets into melee, your forte is range and nuking hard using robes.
#2: The summoner. At lower levels you will be playing the nuker here until your lvl 40. After 40 youll become a summoner. You will be using summons to fight for you, you can use light armor so you can take a beating yourself. You get heals and buffs for your summon, and some spells thats mostely curses, no damage spells really.
WARNING!(expensive class, can solo extreemly well, but its hard to do it cheap. All summons costs alot to summon and if you bring on the dmg with SS, Beast SS and so on. Expect to lose money while hunting)
note: Gets a summon at higher 50 that can heal extreemly well in party, you can act as main healer in many places. I have not seen or tried this myself so only what i heard, but i believe its correct.
#3: The Shillen Elder. The healer/buffer. One of the best all around healers/buffers in the game. Got almost all wanted buffs for fighters and nukers, have good healing and recharge. Can use light armor in small groups and go head to head althou you are support so dont expect loads of dmg from your side, your prime role is healing, recharging and buffing.
No damage spells for the healer class.
If you want a class with nukes, melee and healing. I REALLY suggest you lookingto the Orc class WARCRIER, perhaps even Overlord but thats probably not what your looking for.

Yeah I was going to say, from his description it sounded a lot like what he wants to be is a Necro. That means he will have to re-roll a human character but really that sounds like the class he needs to be.
Also, yes, the PS is a very good healer when they get their 56 servitor. It's called nightshade and it starts out healing for about 768 hp's per heal. Fully buffed he's really fast too. Main thing is to make sure that he get 2 buffs (along with acuzerk), Always make sure he get Bless the Body and HP regeneration. He does not use MP for heals, he uses his own HP, so it's actually a sacrifice. Nice thing is he has LOTS of hp and with BTB lots more. In large melee parties you always want a PS in the party. Their party cubic rocks and once they get 56+ they can be main healer or backup healer.
