lv.33 now gonna exp the next few days so il be 40 no time but
should i go TH or HE ? i wanna pvp alot thats the main thing for me PVP castle siege etc raids ofc but mostly pvp
HE does the most dmg of them all atm?(of all DD classes)
i know TH is fun nice skills etc i havent really played HE
but i heard there killer in pvp (they prob will get nerfed later:P might mortal nerf ftl :<)
so any1 know what i should do ?

Have to know, most pvp is at 76+, before that you will only find random pvp.
Skills from a TH outdamage the crits of a HE, but you only have a chance of landing them. HE crits every 2 shots fully buffed, and takes out pretty much every robe user on the server.
Both are weak P DEF/M DEF chars that can be taken out rather fast as well. It's just a matter of outdamaging and they are pretty good at that...Both of them.
If you need more answers on HE I can give you that, my experience with TH is not that big as with a HE but I can give you a more detailed breakdown if you ask for certain stuff.
I just finished my HE quest. From what I hear archers in general are good for pvp.
TH I think have more skills to play around with and I think ppl suggests they require a bit more skill managment.
HE less skills but have more power per shot I guess. Also apparentley they are one of the most expensive classes in game. But I think thats just a case of learning how your chosen class makes money.

Range>melee for PvP is the general rule. Althou daggers when in range does about same destruction archer do on 900 range ;)
Thing is a Archer will always stay good at pvp (this cronichle godly) and you wont get dissapointed in his PvP capability. However a dagger might dissapoint you, ESPECIALLY in sieges and long open range fights.

Arrows, soulshots, potions, nothing without buffs (leveling a buffer alongside till 56).
In CG with an eminence bow you will be able to hunt for like 1h then have to go back to town for restock on arrows and shots.
Average adena cost per mob/average adena drop per mob=
40 CSS per mob = 780a > Eminence Bow > 500a income
12 BSS per mob = 760a > Bow of Peril > 1100a income
10 *** per mob = 900a > Carnage/soul Bow > 2500a income
You can see where you give in money while hunting and where you earn thousands back.
HE is by far not the fastest in game, so people who tell they cant catch a HE are either a dwarf, a tank or nuker or an orc, all the rest can catch them.

archer is the cheapest class to level in game after aoe classes, 4k s soulshots last for around 3 hours of xping. HE is good if you have at least bd and prophet, very strong with wc, catbuff and sws. taking you don't have a top clan to provide your lvl 40 archer with these kinds of buffs I'd suggest TH, wich on the other hand IS an expensive class to level, but is still very deadly even at low levels and even on buffpots. You will always be stronger in pvp with a casually buffed dagger than archer.
hmm you dont need buffs for grinding sure it helps but i dont need it @ lv 40 right? maybe 60 maybe i can only fight lil less strong mobs i could solo yah? its hard 2 find partys in catas here on franz :<

2) you can exchange your dagger for a +8 Semi Top DG bow.
3) Manoring with an archer doesnt work cause you give up your range.
4) Every archer can win from one another, but most say that HE has the best chances to actually turn the balance in their favour.

I was talking about the pvp part, HE dies rather fast and to pretty much any class without decent buffs. Manoring does'nt work.
On a sidenote it's personal preference but i prefer the dagger gameplay. 1 hitting 76+ mages on a prophet buffed 6x TH always makes me giggle.
so how do i make money then ?
catas selling AA or sell blank scrolls? or craft weaps?(i have a really really really hardtime getting the items so i dont like crafting :< or am i doing it wrong?)

If your archer opponent is same level, the lower accuracy and evasion of HE becomes an issue.

I personally do quests for recipes and such to get money, i guess you can make enough for an a grade weapon levelling the archer at FP 52+
hum, nobody wil tell you how to make money, must find some ways by yourself. And if you go archer, you should buy another account and level up a prophet or wc with you or you will get really really stuck past 5x
anyways try coin quest in hv then maybe toi quest later on
Xp part (solo): Hawkeye kills faster than th cause he simply has higher pattack (bow>dagger), plus each critical hit takes down more than half of the mob's hp. Even if you don't have a buffer herbs help a lot, their drop rate is pretty good so imagine that you ll crit almost every mob.
Adena part: With th you ll be able to make more money cause he isn't a range player so you ll be able to seed mobs and earn lots of mats that will help you craft items(craft = essential for making money in this game). Also c grade bows consume lots of soulshots so be ready to pay lot of money for soulshots till you hit 52lvl
PVP Part: Different style between th and he. I can ensure you though that a buffed hawkeye is really deadly. With stun shot plus a couple of critical hits you can take down a nuker in a pvp that will last 4 or 5 seconds. High dex (in combination with dyes) will let you kite all tanks and you will be the most essential class for castle sieges.
*If you can somehow sell the +8 Maingauche for 11 - 15M adena, you can then use those funds to get a Grace Dagger or Dark Screamer w/Focus. Even if you can only afford something like a Dark Elven Dagger/ Focus, that will work much better for you than a +8 D grade bow.
I didn't use a bow at all until I was B Grade. I figured the dagger is not a mana-dependent weapon, so there would be zero downtime. Focus SA would help offset the expenses of soulshots that a bow would incur. Plus, you can manor with the dagger weapon. It's just a little riskier because you're so up close and personal. :D
*If you don't have a dedicated buffer, hunt in areas where pots drop.
*If you can get your hands on Plate Leather set (craft it, don't buy it), you'll never regret it. I'm only one level into A grade, but I still hunt in some areas wearing PL Set. It's the difference of one less strike depending on the mobs that you hunt.
*Money maker quests...seven signs, manor, and coin quest at C grade seem to be the biggest three. Once you find a good hunting ground, check to see if there is a quest for the mobs that you are leveling on. In most cases, there is.
*Partying is almost always more entertaining than solo. But it's never fun finding a good group. I'm also noticing more and more people are rolling buffers...at least on Devianne...so you might be able to find a quick duo.
*Be ready to "zone out" on your HE once you get to early B grade if you decide to solo. They are not a skill-rich class and it does get boring.
*HE's aren't that fast. So glad we get Dash. It helps make running across Forsaken Plains bearable.
yeah i know they dont got much skills but sieges and pvp make up for that imo

btw i bought the maingauche+8 for 10 mill tryed 2 sell it for 11 mill for 7 days in giran :/ i spammed mithrill dagger +3 and it got solled the same minute >_>
Im lvling a SR when no one in my clan is on, and I have found that for me the best way to make money is to hunt mobs that you can do a repeat quest for money on and is almost green to you. Ive hunting them untill they turned blue just repeating the quest. By hunting weak mobs you dont have to use ss so your really only spending money on arrows and health pots unless you hunt mobs that drops the pots. It does make the lvling slow but with doing that and getting lucky with full drops that I got made into crystals; I have been able to get my theca top, bottoms, boots and still have a little money left over. Now my next challange is to raise enough money for a weapon. Untill I can, I will be borrowing a bow from a clannie. Im not sure if this is a method your looking for, but I hope it helps.
PS. I ment to have said future SR. Shes only lvl 33 right now. :eek:
