With Interlude release around the corner, we are just about halfway into the release of L2...half way to having the whole game. Why did they not release it all at launch?
1. It wasn't all finished yet, the project is so huge
2. Why release the high level areas when everyone was a newbie at launch.
So, loyal Lineage 2 players, do you realize that you are in the midst of by far the largest MMORPH project ever undertaken? By the time that L2 is completed, in another three years, it will be so huge and massive as to be beyond what anyone would have comprehended five years ago. Then, when the game is complete, will NCSoft do the advertising blitz which will WoW the world and flood the servers and we....the noble long timers...will be ruling these worlds, worlds suddenly populated by tens of thouseands of new players on each server. Yes, the rumores are true...NCSoft will buy out Blizzard and close down that babygame and we will rule the MMORPH world! Muhahahahah!
So what will we see at that glorious time? Well between now and then we will get the following (and this is just a tiny taste).
Striders into Wyyverns (at lvl 75), unresitricted. If you have a lvl 75 strider you can fly and fight in the air.

New items to wear and use, for example:

The new continent, Gracia, will have fundamental differences from Aden/Elmore. The culture there is more, um...French Polynesian, than we have seen here. For example:

The swimsuit quests will only be on Gracia most mats will be obtained by fishing for the crafting.
