Durable Metal Plate Recipe Drop %

Anyone know which mob has the highest drop rate for the DMP Recipe?

Supposedly catacomb stakato soldier has the highest drop rate, but outside of catacombs, Lienrik Lad, Grandis and Lageos drop it too. Lageos having the highest drop rate of the 3. (There are 2 Lienrik Lad types - one of them has very low drop rate).

One of the mobs in Hardin's Private Academy. Either the Grandis, Windsus, or the Fettered Souls... they drop the recipe at a mad rate. I remember having around 16 by the time I was done with the spot.

I just checked wh. It's Grandis that drops them. 1/229 chance.

But Lageos has a higher drop rate. I got a few from those. I realise that there are more reports for Grandis, but I'm guessing that's because that area is more populated.
But Grandis are probably easier to kill too (lageos is linked to another mob, that I can't remember the name of).

I remember the Lageos. They are partnered with Pageos or something like that. Nasty little fellers.

I'll probably hunt the Grandis, since I won't have to delevel that much and most of the mobs around Hardin's are passive. Don't get me wrong, I love Heine, but Whispers and Silence have THE most annoying aggro mobs.

I love the heine areas. But then I've always had a good buffer/been on the summoner :p

Hardin's drops them at a pretty good rate. I had to do a quest there and came out with 2-3. Also if you're too high level for this and you have a buffer then grab a strider and let it do all the killing. ;)

Shaman of the Plains has an even better drop rate. Trouble is you'll need to kill his three friends as well. ;)

We were powerleveling some of our academy members in heretics last night and got like 10 of the recipes in an hour while killing the stakatos there, pretty nice drop rate imo ^^

As it turns out, I didn't even have to hunt for it.

I just took the AW (my fastest sprinter) on a cross country marathon run Hardin's to Heine. As is typically the case, there are always drops in the water that no one ever picks up. In addition to a bazillion arrows that I just sold back to the shop, I found 5 recipes (including one DMP recipe), about 30 other base mats and a little over 200K adena.

Who says exercise isn't good for ya? :D
