Critical Blow

I just got this skill on my TH and I'm not really sure how it works. The description says: "With an increased chance of success, you attempt an extremely deadly attack on your foes. A Lethal Strike is possible." The skill itself doesn't seem to do much damage. But, when I use it I get a buff for 15 seconds. The buff's description is the same as above. Does the buff affect the land rate of the other skills like Backstab? What is the best way to use this? Any help would be appreciated.

It's a temporary buff to boost landing rate of your specials.

Think of it like one of the vortex spells. It's an attack and a buff.
It'll do a potentially lethal attack, and buff you for future attacks for the next 15 seconds.
I.e. open with that skill and the rest of your stabs are more powerful.
