Lionna vs Bartz vs Kain

Im starting out and not sure which server to pick. Im looking for opinions on them, which has the least amount of bots, good community etc. Any help is appreciated

What is your playstyle? PVP, RP, etc.

oops sorry.. i like both equally. From what I read, which I dont know is true, pve in this game is hard because of bots, so I would say the main focus will be pvp/castle sieges. Although I would love to kill end raid mobs too.

Im not looking for a free ride or anything, just friendly server that I can help in raids/castle sieges once i get the levels.

I should mention Im also a US player est time zone. I have always played on euro servers with other mmo's as I find euro players to be a bit friendlier, but it does seem like time zones are a very important issue in this game.

Just keep in mind you need to PVE 75+ levels before you focus on PVP/castle sieges :D

I'm from Lionna.

I've done some academy alts up to level 40 in the last few months, bots isn't a problem anymore here. But the market price is insanely high.

Regarding PVP, not sure what's happening atm. It seems our biggest enemy is crumbling, and only have a few gank parties running around. Go ask some "neutral" clans what they do.

The "Neutral" are being warred by one of the clans in the major Alliance on Lionna. Makes for interesting times, since some clans are starting to fight back. Definitely makes for interesting sieges when a "neutral" clan holds a castle. (could have swore I saw 4 or 5 different neutral alliance tags defending Gludio this week)

The Lionna server is friendly, and there is plenty of PvP(although some would have you believe otherwise). If you like RP at all I would recommend Lionna, since it is kind of the unofficial RP server, since there isnt an official one.

does lionna have alot of people on it, or is it a wasteland. I know at low levels the newbie zones are usually empty. I started a toon on bartz the other week and its been fairly busy even in lowbie zones, but I have heard some bad things about the server. Not to say its true but Im not experienced in this game.

It is fairly active. The starter towns arent, but once you can get to dion and such there are usually people you can group with. I ave seen an influx of new people actually. It isnt as busy as bartz, but it isnt a complete ghost town like some other servers.

well the official boards are normally where the good guys go to with some few exceptions and l2blah is the opposite category lol

I think the L2 community is a lot better than many communities. Recently, i've been checking out other game's forums and OMG! I've never seen so many whiners and compalainers!

Any character, level 39 or below, who has not yet joined a clan and has not yet completed the second class transfer may join an Academy.

Lionna is 5 days younger than Bartz. I guess it depends on the starter area bot population :P Bartz does seem to have more people though, and from some forum activity, definetly not the "older gamers" community..

go look up a game called Knight Online, lol, i played it before i came to l2 and it was similar but alot less advanced.. but god **** i've never seen a place that complain more than they do.. a basic f-u would be taken as a compliment, heh, the expectations would be to get a full book of cussing you out just by looking at ppl wrong, lol. That and they kept spamming you off in turkish especially if you dont know the language >.<
