One day i was thinking, how rich is rich... How would i compare with most?
If i defined it as:

I have a self worth of about 6-7 million, which to me is lower class. Now thats taking into account all of my characters on Lionna as i call that home. So i'm a "Poor" Lower class citizen of L2.
But what would the other classes be? And what do you consider yourself ....
Middle class.
+3 stuff A grade. Already got S weapon though I cant use it and some cash ~100m which will eventually turn into tat jewels.
I think upper class are the guys with boss jewels and OE stuff^^
Poor as well. I have about 30mil in loose change, 10~20 mil more to sell and the odd bit of B Grade stuff. No A Grade yet... helmets too expensive. ~.~

I say you should decide if lower class/middle/upper based on amount of money/items based on level not on others.
I consider myself middle class, I got Top B-grade at lvl 52 yet now I am very poor, none are enchanted, barely have enough money to buy BSS. Currently lvl 53

I'm worth like, millions. It's all a question of tarification, as my girlfriend would say.
I'm worth millions, even without 1 adena in my pocket.
the lower class people are the ones that try try try yet still can't get that Katana when they're 51.
the middle class are the ones that survive through some crazy mix of their own iron will or by other middle class helping them. (i would consider myself this type, lvl 56 Gladi with +0 BW full set and +3 3rd best B duals)
The upper class are the snazzy type. you've seen them, the ones that run to their WHs to get their A grade the moment they hit 61. or the guy that GIVES you 5k Bss when you just ask to buy some. these guys know how to live and they worked hard to get there (hopefully) these are the market players, the expensive WS', the guys you look up to on the battle field and say "he's one cool dude" etc.
there is a seperate factor to add I think. Time you put in for what you have. while you may not be rich splatter, for the amount of time you play, having several mil is impressive.
Me? well, I've been able to put in alot of time and gotten very lucky (just not at crafting.......) so probably upper middle or lower upper in terms of monetary richness.
When i switched over from Hindi to Bartz i was mad cause the couple mil i had made from events was all gone, and i had nothing to level with.
Some guy i was chillin and raiding with in D grade threw me enough money to buy top D armor and weapon so that in our raids i could be a better Tank. Now that imo is upper class.
Anyone who goes out of their way to help people asking nothing in return is imo the most upper of upper class.
I know that because of him doing that for me, i try to give as much back to people who need help as i can. You cant measure class by just money :)
As for self worth in monetary terms (spelling?) I would say I am either upper-middle class or lower-upper class.
Splatter, with that amount of money I wouldnt even call you a poor lower class. More like some poor lower classes alt..
Lower class = A-grade at higher levels..
Middle class = S-grade.
Upper class = Overenchanted s-grade and boss jewels.
:o Wow I guess most people aren't even lower class...lol I wouldn't be considering I've never even had a toon that made it to 61. But that's cause I can't stay with one class very long :p. I might be able to get B grade armour but i don't think I'd be able to afford a weapon in B grade :o
Lower class = has gear below their highest level main's grade
Middle class = has gear matching their highest level main's grade
High class = has gear exceeding their highest level main's grade and/or overenchanted gear
But it's all a matter of point of view.
I personally figure the 'normal' state is to be with one or two sets of A grade armour and an A Grade weapon - but then, that's the kind of people I am surrounded by and fight or play with every day.
In C2 I was wealthiest. That is when I couldn't log in or walk two steps into any town or hunting spot without bumping into friends and acquaintances. Even the adversaries were cordial enough to speak...even if it was mostly in snide remarks. That is wealth. I was rich then.
As of C5, most of those chaps have all moved on. Other servers, other pursuits. I can go a week and not see anyone from my friend's list log on. Poor indeed.
As for adena and assets, well, I've tons of that. Multiple toons, all with top armors, uber-overenchanted weapons, a couple of boss jewels, a profitable business, and two clan warehouses overflowing with mats to boot.
Nice to have, but it doesn't help make this game any more entertaining.
Poverty - Less than 10 M > Less than C grade, ask for help on forums/from friends for gear
Lower class - Less than 100 M > Less than A grade w/ SAd weapon
Middle class - Less than 750M > Less than S grade possibly multiple A grade
Upper class - Less than 1 B > S grade with geared sub
Wealthy - Over 1B > Frequent crafter, multiple accounts, gifted gear, ebay, frequent raider, or scammer
Poverty line involves having less than most players pocket change.
Lower class is anyone who hasn't hit the A grade sets yet
Anyone ranging from A grade to just before S grade is middle class, this is the largest section of the population. Many could be borderline S grade or equipped but chose to strengthen their A grade first.
S grade, but barely, is still a step away from the megabillionaires.
Wealthy normally has a source and it is easy to reason what that is
Do you see them or their shops in town daily?
Do they raid?
How long have they played?
Did they have high level friends quit?
Do they waste money (overpay frequently...everyone does now and then)?
There are therefore 5 classes. The value varies by server, so I included gearsets.
Personally I'm middle class. The pace of the game has dramatically changed since my "hayday."
Ant Queen Ring, Baium Ring, Frintezza Necklace, Zaken Earring, Drac Set, Imp Crusader Set, Forgotten Blade w/ focus, Arcana mace w/ acu, Drac Bow w/ focus, OE'd Maj light set, Tallum robes, Tallum heavy set, like 5 or 6 random C and B grade weapons (homu acu/conversion, buffstaves, health weapon)... and probably some other stuff.
Now I have like half of that, still rebuilding.
While I'd put myself up there at a few bil, I know other UR members who have a lot more than I did, so..
Most heroes have stuff like this, or better, so maybe make a "Hero" class instead of upper? :P
To answer for the cash and equipment part.
I had my A grade ready at 64 including 2 A weapons because i needed to spoil the helmet recipe and had ~30 mil cash.
Now at 67 i have 5 A grade weapons working on 6th and have beside the NM set Tallum heavy and DC robe almost ready ( only dc gloves and tallum plate missing ).
I also have 2 BW heavy sets 2 B weapons ( aoba , sprite satff ) Avadon robe set 2 divine sets 5 C grade weapons plated leather set, drake set, full plate set, composite set, then 4 D grade weapons and and hp set , brig set, knowlege set and other stuf alswell with sme top NG.
I also have a lot parts to craft even more.
Cash i only have 6 mil atm.
I have to say i did archive all on my own and i do not raid or having a castle.
How i get all that stuff ? Worked with all characters for it Spoil, manor , drops and did craft. I dont like to sell set up shop for hours sell nothing so i only do very rarely.
Its not needed if you put time and effort in it you can archive all without having tons of cash.
So all my B grade and all A grade i own i did craft with like 3 exeptions because buying the item was cheaper then the efford and mats to put in at that time. Also a lot of my C grade and d grade i did craft too but thats was a long time ago.
BTW thats the reason i made my BH back in prelude/c1 to get all stuff i need to outfit my chars.
Maybe i could earn a lot more while buying and selling but thats no fun to me so i just go out hunt for good spoils and craft stuff i need...
I love my BH but he cant do anything without at least one more party member now.
I enjoy beeing Paladin too. You have to set goals if i dont could collect and craft things i think game would be to boring for me. So ya Bounty hunter fits for me very well.
I would say it's all relative to "position"...in other words the level of 'wealth' is related to opportunity.
If a new player (brand new to game) had great D-grade at lvl 30 and a few million adena..they would at least be "middle class" COMPARED TO OTHER D-GRADERS.
Myself? I'm lower class in L2 economically (social status as well given my levels).
I'd guess the 'worth' of equipment/stuff/adena I have is reasonable after 16 months.
I still have borrowed A-grade for my main however!

Considering the playing field isn't exactly level, I wonder if there is any real value in comparisons.
My server has quite a number of "Bill Gates" players. If they are "upper class" then I'm below poverty level---lol.
Between all of my seven characters I might have 40 million. If there is a poverty level, I'm well below it.
But I never want for anything I could need, though I know there is no way I could ever afford any of it. Friends, clan, or just plain perseverance lets me get by with what I have, or find ways of getting what I need.
i rerolled to a new server and was given a few things to start me out including +6 demon fangs.
well i foolishly blew them up (had 3.5m in chump change to back me though - all handmade) and recouped to a staff of life. at level 40 and graduating i was able to pay back in full my donor and have since been able to afford my B gear before i got to B grade.
and im still sitting on extra cash.
my net worth in gear, and consumables (tons o crystals for summons) is around 40m.
the adena isnt that hard to come by. as a casual player i require time to invest rather than adena. i am a poor leveller and very slow, so in that respect i am below the norm. on the other hand i have made my own adena my own way, have had the fortune of a good bunch of drops, and one helluva good valentine's event that got me 80% of my current adena fortitude.
if i could play the game and pay my bills without leaving my PC, i would.

Cause you could buy everything you want? Do it, be happy with it. There are a few things money can never be used for, one of those things are friends.

I currently have about 1m adenas loose on my chars as well as several D-grade gear and weapons. I also have top C-grade gear and top C-grade duals. That makes me what, poor? My highest char is level 43 though, in my opinion i'd say i'm rich cause i was able to afford multiple D-grade and one C-grade items so far - not to mention without ebaying, scamming, botting or sponsorship at all.

Yeah i agree. It really doesent matter how much much items or money you have. There will be always someone that will have more.
Putting ppl in classes because of it is stupid too.

I dont have billions of adena or boss jewls but im proud i got all my stuff on my own without any help and also gave away stuff to ppl that needs it.

No, it doesn't matter at all how much adena you have. It has no effect on how you enjoy the game. It has no effect on how much fun you have with friends.

Totally agree that money doesn;t make the game any more enjoyable. While I am wealthy on my main server, I will find myself rerolling on different servers just to enjoy the game without having every single thing handed to you from the get-go. It really is fun being a noob in my opinion, lvls are easy, raids are easy, equipment is cheap.... *shrugs* I find it enjoyable.

In the common view here all characters with no full S-grade are poor anyways...leaves? 100 characters who posses complete S-grade? Then change the topic to "S-graders, how rich are you?" cause everybody else would be poor, from No-grade up to A-grade regardless how much money they have.
