Well if they're one-winged, Kamael may mean fallen or something hehe
The interesting fact worth noting is that Kamael is referenced in several cabalistic ways, but most references say the same thing:
* Kamael is responsible for diluting illusion and when invoked he brings the ability to see things for how they really are.
* Kamael is a Prince Regent of the Powers and one of the great Archangels of the Divine Presence.
* He is also, along with Michael, a Regent of War and a Supreme Regent of both the planet Mars and the astrological sign Aries.
* He almost fell (or was destroyed) when he tried to keep God from giving the law (the Torah) to Moses, believing that the people were not ready to receive it.
* When invoked, he appears in the guise of a leopard crouched on a rock.
* "It is a name," says Eliphas Levi in The History of Magic, "which personifies divine justice."
* A legend speaks of Kamael being in charge of 12,000 angels of destruction.
* The meaning of the name Kamael: "He who sees God."
Given the precedence for the developers to quote religions and spiritualism (see the quote below regarding Mammon), I think the Kamael are, in fact, fallen Arterias.
Mammon is a word used in the Bible to describe riches, avarice, and worldly gain. It is personified as a false god in the New Testament. Often, mammon is regarded as material wealth and thought to have an evil influence.
I know that Kamael was cabalistic, I said it in other posts hehe
I meant that to the L2 world it might be a fallen version of the Arteias.

not bad fan art either of them... that would most definately be an interesting race. I dont think they'll fly with 1 wing though lol, maybe take long floating skips ahead but not fly.. then again bumblebee's are too heavy to fly but they dont know that so they keep flying anyway >.<
hmm perhaps they will rename them later? According to the posts on Blah about the Kamael, it is not the full form of the race. The translated interview that DarkElva posted said the full form will come in a later throne update, where they will eventually have 2 wings.
