well most of us decided to hold out on getting skills till interlude
heres what NCsoft has to say about the issue (http://yougotowned.net/)
There is no sp refund and well this isn't the first time it happens...

Thats just wonderful!!! /Mad
Yeah this problem has existed since C1...be glad you could at least afford your skills.
At least they are implementing items that give more than 100k SP. I saw a crystal in a private shop on dino island today, that gives a whopping 200k SP! Looks like you do some sort of quest there to get them. I'm hoping there are (much) higher grade crystals. -These can only be used if you are 76+.

the way i hear it those things just drop from the dinos, no quest needed
of course not many ppl will be hunting there and i got no idea what the drop rate is like so yeah better get your AA ready for some sp scrolls :/

im royally screwed for sp but i did plan ahead for interlude, ive already skipped half of my 76+ skills and with the reduced sp costs i should be able to get some of the cool stuff (70% into lvl :/)
I'm just hoping to have the important 74 skills before I hit 75. Knowing the math, however, it won't happen before 76.
dammit finally saw at least 1 reason to hunt at dino island - SP crystals)

I'm sure all the dino-deaths will help too. =D

True, it was always like this - when a new skill is put into the game, the total SP cost for a skillset does not change - so each individual skill in the skillset now costs less. And players who already have bought the skillsets which now include that skill do not get the SP back which they paid more. This was not really a problem so far because the difference in SP never was really that huge for 74- skills. OK, when stuff like mana burn/erase got put into the game, it already hurt a little bit to buy all levels of those skills, but it was doable. But now, with new 76+ skills, we are talking about HUGE differences in SP cost. For example, a lvl 78 skillset costs 64m total. A class which before interlude got 2 lvl 78 skills had to buy each of them for 32m. If that class now receives an additional skill, the cost for each goes down to 21.3m. So now we are talking about a difference of over 10m SP for one single skill! Someone who bought both his 78 skills a month before Interlude now has to come up with an additional 21.3m SP to get all skills, compared to somebody who simply saved all his SP and buys the complete skillset when Interlude comes out.
Somehow I could not predict in C4 that my 78 skills i got then would cost less in interlude ...

Well, you got to use your skills and most likely do not have a SP problem anyway :) I also got my 76+ skills like a year ago. But for those who reached 3rd class, say, a month ago and who then bought skills and now find out that the skills NOW would have been millions of SP cheaper, it sucks.

But that seems to be what NCSoft wants - if you get your skills earlier, you get to use them earlier than others, but you pay more SP overall when a new expansion introduces new skills.
