Hi there
I just started last night and have to say I love the world. I ran into a few friendly people that offered some advice. Im still reading up on the game and the class system but I am excited about playing and meeting people. Archis is my character name and I would love any advice that I could get. I started a dark elf and hit 6 last night. In WoW I was a rogue and decided to take a tank roll in this game. If any clans are interested in helping out a new player I do work hard and play daily for several hours so I would become a hard worker. Just wanted to again say hello and thanks for the warm welcome to the game!
I'll be happy to help you out in the game ^^ Just pm Lehas once the servers are back up.I'll add you to our academy PTPtigers.Hope you like the game.
Looking forward to seeing you in game. I had run reading the recruiting post and the KOS posts back and forth. LOL this is great.
If you liked the rogue classes in WoW, and you're a Dark Elf, try to become an Abyss Walker. Tanks in this game are not necessary at all for grinding quickly. Tanks have low damage output, meaning they kill slowly, meaning that any class that can do a lot of damage consistently can, and will, level faster.

In this game, adena is everything. You can either level fast, or you can earn adena while leveling not as fast. A good way would be for you to invest some time in and Fishing (http://lineage2.mugimugi.org/fishing.txt) the Manor System (http://lineage2.stratics.com/content/features/manorsystem/). Once you find yourself in the higher levels, you will understand the importance of acquiring money early.

Welcome to the world of Lineage II! I hope you enjoy it.
I was relooking at the information on the website. And after viewing I think it probably would be the most fun for me to go for a rogue style play until I can learn how the characters are set up. And thank you, I have enjoyed the game so far.
This is funny, I'm almost in the exact situation. I bought the game yesterday on a whim. I'm sick and tired of WoW but want another mmo to hold me over for the next few months. I played a tank in WoW but want to make a rogue like character haha. I made an orc, but i'm really not sure on what to do or where to go, or even really how the game works.
Orc fighters are awesome. You really cannot go wrong picking either a Tyrant (monk) or Destroyer. Tyrants are probably one of the most balanced fighter classes in the game thanks to their totems.
