Well, I am still kind of new to the game...I had played for a while, but then I had to quit for 9 months because of my job >_<. But I am now back, and I was wondering if the Pheonix Knight was any good, or if Hell Knight was the better choice. Thanks for any help you can give.
if you can make it to 76 as a tank, i will applaud you.
both classes have meager damage output capability, but MAJOR damage TAKE-ability. consequently, its the other swuichies that get squished before the tank gets hit. so if you want to kill your party abut remain alive, make either one. the only difference; dark avenger gets a summon with good Patk, and also gets some debuffs and curses that work rather well. paladin gets nothing but more meat.
As a DA, i would suggest going DA. I just tried out the judgement skill with its new mods. I can say that I was happy. The crit damage is only about 5% less than before (buffed). But the Judgement damage is about 80% total of a critical. Regular melee is about a 5-7% increase. So, overall I am not disappointed. The cat make it a fun class to play too.
It depends on playstyle. If you want a summon to deal more damage and eat a little exp, go DA. If you want pure defense orientation, go Paladin. However, a Paladin with buffs and boss jewels can heal itself...at no mp cost.
