Skill cost change - I want my SP back

General Discussion Started Last reply 18 posts
I see the cost of level 76+ skills has gone down for my maestro. I also see the my available SP did not change with interlude. So what about the SP I already spent? One of the skills I have use to cost 15 mill SP and now costs 10 mill SP. I want that 5 mill SP back!! Why should I have to spend more for my skills than a new maestro, just because I got there sooner?

To be more specific, the skills Health and Wisdom both cost 15 mill SP in C5 (for a Maestro). I got the Wisdom skill, and now see that the Health skill costs 10 mill SP. I assume that that cost of the Wisdom skill also changed to 10 mill. I also noticed that the SP cost all of the 77 skills changed, but continue to be the same cost as one another.
thou who control the SP , control the castle.
hey it could be worse, check how bad off some classes are if they learned their 78 skillz already compared
to now, for example 78 SwS song of Champion went from 64mil to 32mil..
You got to use the skills after you got them, right?

Hmmm, so we can assume that the new skills we get in the next expansion in ~6 months may cost less, as will the next new skills we get in the 2008 and 2009 expansions. You have the right not to get any skills between now and then and just save up your SP for when the skills are cheaper in a year, or two, or three.

But you choose to spend you SP so you can use your skills now, not save your SP and forgo using your skills for months in order to get them cheaper.

You made your choice. I don't see you offering to give back all the exp, adena, drops and SP you earned from using those skills.
it's not that easy to grind all the additional sp for 78 skillz thou ^^"

why did the cost change on those?
pretty sure we didnt get any new lvl 76 skills and thats the only reason NC lowers sp cost on skills afaik

as for whats gonna happen to you because you got your skills a week too early, well i said it in the other thread but "you got owned"
the problem has existed for ages and NC has done nothing about it
you think you have it bad but try and imagine that with skills which cost 30+ mil sp each

if we want sp in those quantities our options are
hunt in catas and get a few hundred mil AA for scrolls
do the sp quest in gludio (a few thousand times)
go hunt dino island
This isn't new either, the costs were reduced for skills once before, back in c3 I believe. No one got sp back then.

yeah exactly
then again in C4
then again in C5 (depending on class and skills)
but back then the diference was measured in millions not in the 10's of millions you could potentially have now (about 60 mil for me i think)

LOL. This must be the stupid post of the day. There was no informed choice here. I had no assumptions about skill costs in Interlude vs C5, and I had no past experience to base such assumptions.

If I had known the cost of learning skilles would go down, I would have waited to learn them. The Wisdom and Armor Crush skills I got are mostly useless in PvE. I never got any extra anything due to those skills. For the 3-4 PvPs I do each year, I use a bow.

I didn't realize this has happened before. I just turned 76 in C5 and the cost change became very obvious with those 76 skills, since I never got the second 76 skill. The fact that it has happened before doesn't make me fell any better about it.

Of course I realize it would be worse if I was 78 or 79. It could mean enough lost SP to get another skill. And it I had already got all my 76+ skills, I would never have noticed that the cost went done.
You are sooo right Tsili...when I purchased Lineage 2 it was 49.99, but now people can buy it for 9.99. I had to pay more just because I played it sooner?

I want my forty dollars back!
RumPunch, you can't be serious
Chars that have leveled up later than current 78s have to spend so much less SP than people who already got their 76-78 skills. How is this fair? And yes, I do want it to be fair. This isn't something I'll willingly accept a "suck it up" for, but I guess I'll have to.
What's even the point in leveling to 78, when you get punished for learning the skill, or not learning any skills at all (if new updates are close enough to talk about)? (often you only have enough for one, unless you're one of those classes that only get one - then you most of the time have to wait :p).

Mistryl, please tell Korea that we're disgruntled

I'll pay you 40 dollars if you give me my SP :)

woah there buddy now you have gone too far :P
armor crush is quite posibly the best pve skill dorfs ever get
unless you are one of those pole dorfs then yeah fair enough

dont take anyone too seriously man, we have had this issue for a while now and the fact is NC isnt planning to do anything about it afaik
just look at the possitive side that you only got screwed out of the sp for lvl 76 and 77 skills

and BTW when i had a choice between wisdom and heath (only had the sp for one) i chose health
that right there has got to be the dumbest choice ever ^^
We've been talking about this for quite some time now - it only got really significant after we got the 76+ skills with the insane costs per skill, so we have become louder. I really wish they would have listened :(
nah man the sp crystals are definately the solution
problem obviously is where they come from and the requirements to hunt there

once again
problem solved
very poorly
Spectacular.

Is it known how much SP the highest crystal gives?
200k i think
thats if the ones sold by the gms are the ones that drop there
unfortunately noone knows the drop rate on the crystals (if the even drop, might be a quest)

not many ppl done any testing on pts so i got no idea tbh

I had similar responses to a thread I started quite a while ago about getting an SP refund on skills that were either nerfed or didn't hold up to their expectations based on the very short description we're given. For example, the Seed skills that nukers get. They sound good, but after getting them and using them, I wish that I could get my SP back, or at least part of it. And then people just post stupid things like "nobody twisted your arm to learn it, deal with it". Very constructive posters, they are.
