My favorite feature is the Disconnect to Login Screen. Since my favorite classes to play right now, my BD and my SO, got nerfed, that is my favorite new feature.
Other: Also disconect to login screen, since the likelihood of me getting anything useful out of the new augmentations is EXTREMELY low, and the new accesories (hats and stuff) are going to be EXTREMELY hard to craft/expensive, and I got a break root skill that does NOTHING because by the time I cast it I am dead, or just get rerooted by the insta cast root(cast speed is so fast now it might as well be). Or the fact that an equal lvl glad now does more damage with his guaranteed to hit skills than my Backstab(if it lands), on the same target, when we are both equally buffed....
I voted for the Duel, because I like it, but since my ISP has taken to randomly PKing me lately the D/C to login is quickly becoming my favorite thing.
(I swear that when I finally get a chance to PK my ISP back it'll have so much karma it's guaranteed to drop something good.)
I like that we finally go to the login screen on DC, the only part of the augmentation that I like is the fact the you wont drop your weapon although that rule should have a restriction with the amount of pk for instance if you have 25+ pk the weapon can be drop
Weapon augmentation doesn't impress me. It's just another money sink in the game to make people feel like there's more to do. Honestly, it's not worth the trouble because there are many times clan members have needed to borrow a weapon, but that's alot harder now unless you want to carry around a spare.
Dino Island, visually, looks great. There's needs to be something more worthwhile there besides exping there just to get the spellbooks which are rare drops (for some). Exp sucks compared to the difficulty of the mobs.
Changing the Zariche so it is no longer classified as a 2-handed sword even though it is obviously a 2 handed sword is stupid.
My TH got benifits and nerfs that kinda equal out.. most of the "new" content though is just out of reach unless you are one of the folks in the "powerhouse" clanns/allies on the server you belong too that have the resources to get the materials to craft/augment the new goodies.. So pretty much non existant for the majority of the players.
The shadow weapons on the other hand might help out those ligit players that cant afford to "craft" a weapon with the current inflated economys. But having not tested them, I am unsure if they will last long enough to provide enough benifit to stay in the "positive" side on adena hunting.
That allong with not fixing older bugs like summoners not able to recieve full benifit from clan hall/OL buffs, or leaving in overpowered skills such as Erase without increasing there cost of casting to match the economic loss summoners acrue (crystal cost of summon).. just makes this Interlude feel more like a beer that has gone flat.
And to top it off.. there is still no REC for BEER for my warsmith.
I chose [Other]. Disconnect to Login screen is about the best Interlude has to offer me. I might have chosen the new anti-pk buff, but only one of my chars is below L40 at this time and even then the no drop on death means more to me than not getting pk'd.
[Augmentation] For the lame bonuses you will get 99% of the time, there is no way this is worth losing the ability to sell the weapon or be unable trade my weapon to my alts. And 210K+ to remove it? That's just an obnoxious money sink. Remove the inability to sell/trade the weapon and make the cost to remove it the same as to add it and we'll consider it again. Until then I'm just going to sell or delete the stones.
[New Skills]What new skills? None of my characters got them or are ever likely to be of the level needed to see them for at least 4 more 'updates'. I'm *still* waiting for them to fix the old, useless & broken skills that already exist. (Instead of making the ones we already have even more useless...)
[Primevil Isle] See above for the amount of time before I can even think of stepping on the beach of this place. (NOTE: That is NOT a typo. =/ )
[New A grade Weapons and Accessories] Again See above.
[Shadow Weapons]I like the ability to 'rent' one of these, but as a tool to help people actually afford a weapon it's worthless. How about just making it possible to SPOIL the parts and recipes we need to craft these at a reasonable cost instead?
[Blood Sword] Woopity-Do. If by chance I ever see this weapon I expect to die in under 2 minutes as I am ganked by L80+ heroes who descend upon me like a Plague of Locusts, before they spirit the weapon away to their Clan Hall to power up and power level using it. Disable all (B)SOE when holding one of these and get rid of the 'tracking' feature on the map and I might get interested again. Until then this is just another exploitable 'feature' I'll never get to 'enjoy'.
[Dueling System]Non-Factor. Until NC provides me with a complete set of 'pvp gear' including Boss Jewels and Un-Nerfs my class(es) I'm just going to avoid any and all 'pvp' and that includes any sort of dueling.
Overall, this was pretty much a 'non-update'. More of a minor adjustment than anything, and half of it wasn't even adjustments of the 'good' kind.
The mid C3 patch that simply added some buffs like the Chant's seems like a bigger update than this. I went over to Dino island, it was fun for a bit but I just sunk right back into the same grind right after. I was extremely disappointed with the root breaking skill I got. 60 mp, looks like an aura flare, takes 5 seconds to break the root. As a Plainswalker I'm better off pulling a bow dealing damage or meleeing my opponent than to stand there for 5 seconds to simply shorten the length of the root.
I voted other. I was hoping for something more out of this patch to keep me going. Unfortunately, I will have to hope the next release is not another 7 to 9 months from now.
Yeah I agree, this update was a lot of nothing. Making the fortresses seigable, and putting off the minor stuff would have really given L2 a boost.
As always they added a lot of nice little improvements that I sincerely enjoy. The map enlarging, the auto target, the shadow weapons, etc.
But not really anything thats gonna have me eager to log on a month (or less) from now.
But my opinion on Interlude aside, I have to say I like the dueling system the most. I love to test my skills, and test strategy against other classes, I love to tinker with my build, etc. But for some reason I don't like getting ganked by a fully buffed lvl 80. The dueling system really made it fun, convenient, and you don't have to regen hp/mp.
Gonna have to say the disconnect to log in screen as well. This feature was way overdue, and I'm so happy we have it now.
The augmentation system is interesting, and I hope to get a really good one eventually ^_^
Definitely a weak update with a pathetic non-event "event" accompanying it. The letter event would have been more exciting than this update. The most discouraging part is that this update added infrastructure for changes that will happen later. Later, however, is after the release of some games that will give serious competition to L2. We're stuck with basically a year of C5. That's a long time between updates.
There are probably more fortresses than active level 6+ clans on lionna. Who's going to play with this once its all done?
I voted for the augments, I love the augmentations! But there is a few things I like in Interlude. The new map is cool. Fortresses look neat (got up on a hill near EG and looked inside). Too bad they're kind of useless at the moment. Oh, my TK's looooong awaited third cubic!
I love almost all the "NEW" features that came with Interlude;
My favorite parts being the new skills (aura flash ftw!!!) and weapon augmentation (I don't understand why everyone's post here that I have read gave me the impression that everyone deserved the best augmentation right this second, it's like overenchanting eventually you'll get something good.)
I haven't had the d/c into login work for me yet but I think thats becuase I don't d/c often, instead I crit error (I don't think it's possible to fix that from crashing the game.)
The only complaints I have are how the invintory closes on me all the time (and I can't even reopen it in shops and werehouses) as well as how the enter key doesn't conferm any values such as when I'm setting up shops or even transferring items to and from my werehouse.
Other then those strange things I am very happy with what Interlude has brought to me. :)

Press the inventorybutton with your mouse, this works for me.
I Chose Others...Back to log in screen on D/c is cool for the rest...Most of what's been said here already...No skils??
Augmentation is in al honesty a joke...GHost weapons....Well I don't know...Dyno sile is great in apparance and besides it's super XP (IF you have the correct group and lvl) + it's chance to get Rep points foryour clan (again If you have group and lvl) it stays a far dream for me.
The fortresses look great but not functional...So I'll wait this out. On top of it all you RE-INSERTED a bugg that has been solved already twice in the last two updates...If you fix something KEEP the fixed version to work with. I don't pay to be annoyed by trivialities like these...Sorry for the Rant Mistryl.
On the PPS I augmented a couple of weapons just for the hell of it. The removal is just a pain. The inability to move the weapon between various alts is a major letdown as I barely make enough cash to get my sub-quest done.
(BTW sitting on the 14th floor for 37 hours straight online to have a change at getting the quest-item is kinda sucky but that's another story.)
Not really something to tell people about as somethning very exsiting and worthwhile.
The update is dissapointing like some allready expressed.
Bugs/unused skills etc will continue to pop-up their ugly heads as the PPS was not really used to get them straightend out.
In all we gained some more C5 content with a new interface but that about it. I would have favoured the new buffbar options but I came to the conclusion I rather have a "normal" setup of it as default.
Some mention the D/C back to game.. To me I have been fortunate to have a somewhat stable connection to begin with but I can see why people like this new feature so good job there (and about time too then I guess).
There was a new patch? I guess it was so insignificant I never noticed...
Seriously though Dino island would have been cool except its not worth hunting there. Only ones that do are the ones with the chaotic weapons.
Fortresses are cool however we cant do anything with them.. Why put something in that we cant do anything with its like a Giant Tease. If I want to get a pointless tease I'll go to a strip club not play a video game.
Agumentation seems neat till you try it. I was happy as heck getting a lv 76 stone as a drop until I saw the effects +.4 CP recovery and +.3 CP recovery... Yeah thats right two CP recovery abilities and neither were significant to start with.
The dueling system is ok but kinda lame I think. Go to an arena or fight it out for real! Unless you get something out of it I dont see the point of pvp and no one fights in a duel like they do in real pvp.
I was serously dissappointed by the lack of another epic boss namely another dragon. We have heard talk of faufrion and the wind dragon for years now with nothing.
Some of the futures are nice like dc to log in and enlarged maps but honestly those things were majorly overdue so rather then oh great its an about **** time.
I agree 100% to the earlier comment I would have much rather had another l2day letter event then this interlude patch.
You know.. after thinking about it and in addtion to my not so happy comments above, there was one realy good thing that happened this Interlude after all. Finaly after waiting since C2... Bounty Hunters get Sweep Festaval. Yeay!!!..

They DO NOT!
Omg how many times does this need to be brought up ?

more importantly if you played one you should already know you dont get the skill
It's scary to see that out of all the new features only 1 feature is compairible in votes to the option "Other".
Even more so as the Augmentation is just another system to add some specs to a weapon. The new grounds must have had alot of work put into it much like the new duel-system.
I hope this vote gets some developers to rethink their next plans as it implies to me that this chronicle was not really well thought out.

THEY DO!
Sweep festival is a lvl 80 skill, and the only way to get it is a lv 80 quest, involving killing all raid- and worldbosses on the map.

^ I guess the sarcasm did not come across clearly enough...
Weapon Augmentation I guess, it's kind of interesting and not too expensive so I can at least try it. However the bad things outweigh the good in this update. This is the first of all updates that I've actually been unhappy with for L2.
The chat window changes, the buff/debuff changes, the inability to recharge other rechargers, the Greater heal on the buff bar, total and utter nerfing of Serenade of Eva, not having to hold ctrl to recharge mobs (and flagging because of it).
I really liked the disconnected to login feature, BUT two times after i exit the game on the case of disconnected->login screen, later when i restart the client i get a problem with the gameguard not being able to run. I reboot the PC and everything starts to run fine again.
^^ I would love the disconnect to login feature as well if they would get rid of the European keyboard error which they already solved 3 times before, and just keeps coming back every Chronicle launch...
whats about new skills for BH? MAybe good to do summon like WS little golem.. ANd need skill AOE sweep because its unreal sweep in train..
now this class gimps  nothing who need them in exp, because so mach bots which do prices so LOw for parsts etc

Been trying to nagg about that long enough to maybe see it SOLVED AGAIN... Seriously the problem wasn't there when I was on the PTS so WHY is it there now it's live?
Interlude feels almost indentical to C5. There are no features that really stand out. It is probably in your best interest to be on the ball with the next major update, in order to keep customers interested.
I would say augmentation is my favorite addition. However, it's not interesting enough for me to go out of my way to try to obtain. What I like about it is the variety it produces among different players skill-wise, but the stat changes are uninteresting.
The new skills are interesting up to a point. My problem with them? The two classes I play - TK/Tyrant - did get new skills. With the TK, I'm looking at both human knights getting unique 79+ skills while I get nothing. The Attract cubic doesn't feel like it's making a difference because the hate power seems weak and it rarely ever roots things at my level. Tyrant's Resist Duress is nice, but uninteresting.
I've gone to Primeval Isle a few times. I love the entire omgwe'regonna die atmosphere. It's unfortunate that the rewards are so weak, no one wants to go and I can't blame them. The quest for A grade weapon recipes isn't logical for monsters of that level when there is an S grade weapon recipe quest in a much easier area (really, two since Forge of the Gods is actually easier than PI as well).
The new A grade weapons are ugly. Some classes have appealing SAs to look forward to, but so many of those weapons are not overly worth seeking because the SAs are unappealing. Regarding the aesthetic, I wish ncsoft would stop with the look of S/new top A weapons and go back to the look of A grade equipment. (there are still many ugly A grade armors, but on the whole it is the best aesthetically of L2's armors)
Most people don't even know what shadow weapons are, and you only have to tell them they don't last forever to make a person never ask about them again.
Blood Sword does nothing for me.
Duels are cute. I'm glad they don't remove your state from before the duel. It makes for something you can do in between buff rounds or something like that. But if it was removed, I wouldn't miss it.
Other than that, I wish ncsoft would stop relocalizing names. It seems the trend is to add letters to names unnecessarily. For example, what was the point in changing Stun Shot to Stunning Shot? To add 4 letters? A much more extreme example is
Shield of Pa'agrio-->Under the Protection of Pa'agrio
...why do that? It only confuses the players and makes the in game more text cumbersome.
In addition, the same goes for system messages. When buffing, why does it say
Buff A has been removed.
Buff A has been added.
Buff B has been removed.
Buff B has been added.
Buff C has been removed.
Buff C has been added.
Buff D has been removed.
Buff D has been added.
Buff E has been removed.
Buff E has been added.
Just get rid of the "remove" line. No one wants to see that. Of course we want to know when buffs are gone, but when it's a simple rebuff where there is no actual buff going away from the standpoint of the player, saying the effect is removed becomes spam.
Another example is with bison spirit totem. When my HP drops to 60%, I see
Since HP have been reduced, the effect of Totem Spirit Bison
can be felt.
Since HP have been reduced, the effect of Totem Spirit Bison
can be felt.
Since HP have been reduced, the effect of Totem Spirit Bison
can be felt.
(i.e., the exact same message 3 times when only 1 event happens)
First of all, a system message should never drop to line 2. Second, why 3 messages for only 1 event? The exact same happens when holding Focus skills for gladiator/tyrant - we get a huge amount of system message spam for something that only needs to take up 1 line per charge.
Lastly, there were too many bugs introduced. That doesn't really need discussing other than to say of anything, the new bugs have actually affected me the most out of all the Interlude changes.
I apologize if this thread seems inflammatory. Overall, I have a negative impression of Interlude when compared to previous updates. Chronicle 4 was nice because it introduced so many new areas to explore. Chronicle 5 was interesting due to the huge amount of rebalancing. However, Interlude has nothing eye-catching about it.

You carefully nock an arrow
the effect of Z has been removed
the effect of Z flows throug you
You hit for X damage
You carefully nock an arrow
The Effect of A has been removed
The Effect of A flows through you
You have missed
You carefully nock an arrow
Critical Hit!
You hit for Y damage
Thats an archer for you, my system message window goes kinda berzerk then, and I can't see any info that is relevant like a friend that logs in or something.
In my opinion the dueling system is kind of cool. To be honest though, nothing else really seems to be thought through a whole great deal. Here are a few ideas you may want to implement. How bout when a war is declared on a clan in an alliance, the entire alliance shows that that one clan is at war, or automatically goes to war, isn't that what an alliance is for anyway? How bout more weapons and armor for all classes with minor changes and stats seperating each set, I think it would improve gameplay a ton, and give alot more variety to game. How bout augmenting your armor? And why not fill out the extra slots for armor (like the cape slot) and making all the slots actually do something or serve a purpose, like maybe a pirate eye patch actually has a + to evasion or something like that.
Again these are all simple ideas that could have gone into this update. I really don't think alot of time was spent on "Interlude" and perhaps we are now getting put on the backburner to games like guild wars, Cov and Coh, AutoAssault, and all of NcSofts other mmorgs. At least its starting to feel that way.
whats about new skills for BH? MAybe good to do summon like WS little golem.. ANd need skill AOE sweep because its unreal sweep in train..

This is totally wrong! They added new skills to BH...War Frenzy-The loosing SP skill!!! Oooh, and Wrath too but you have to buy/craft another weapon to use it, LOL! I am really tired on expecting something new about my Dwarf. Just grind-grind-grind to sub.
Also they added many other skills...just Sub yourself to whatever you like (you know what that meens).
Once they said: "We are planning to make more economically powerfull the Dwarves". Result: Beast Farm is populated by all those "No-shots-low equipped Groups" and you simply can't find a single Buffalo to get that DC Helmet recipe you want.
the dueling system is nice when bored but that's about it, to many nerfs this update
and Dino Island is a joke, the only ppl going there are those clans which have ppl who
need one of the spell books that only drop there and once they have it will never return
as it's really really bad xp so fat chance on seeing any of the new top A grade weapons..
in short my apologies but imo Interlude failed to deliver
Its sad that we had to wait so long(almost 5 chronicles sic!) for back to login improvement screen after disconnect and here it is yay o0.
I choose other....cause this new update brings NOTHING that would make game more playable...something that would make ur a-ss stick to chair even for more....
