For pvp (and pve) dont go -str, go for +str and either -con or -dex. For pve you can go for +dex -con the more crits help you to solo and tank easier with vr3.
Atm I have +4 str -4con, +4dex -4con, +4wit -5int but i am gonna try: +4str -4dex, +2con -2dex and i wear maj with dual kesh*dam.
+ wit is a must, u ll see war cry and duelist reuse time going to 1min from the 2mins without this dye. No need to buy the +wit -int from mammon, buy it from a grocery +4wit -5int, much cheaper around 550k and we dont have magic so dont care for your -int.
what i'm using for PvE atm is +4str -4 con +4 dex -4 con and gonna strap on tallum heavy soon.. possibly remove the dex tatoo but not sure yet, gonna have to test it´out first
always have SE or PP buffs or both sometimes so HP isnt worrying me too much PvE wise
Tallum is great for pve, specially if you have dual kesh*dam imo, cuz u need the att.speed for faster hits, more crits, more HP back from VR so you can tank in group (even archers rarely take agro from me if they wait me to hit first) and of course you can solo much easier without even using pots.
I am not really a fan of tallum with dual keshs. You spam a lot of ssa plus that the 25% HP from dual kesh*dam is great when you have lowered your con a lot. If I had dual kesh I would go with either Maj or at least NM. The new duals are gonna be great, you wont need I guess the +dex if you have the tallum*dam.
I rarely hunt mobs that stun cuz with my -10 con (-8 from dyes and -2 from tallum) I was a stun *****. When I hunted them tho I always had frenzy on when mobs more than 2 on me but still stunned fairly easily. So if you dont plan on hunting mobs that stun do not remove the +dex.
PVE wise +str +dex -con no matter what armor you wear are great. If you solo more go Tallum, if you dont solo and want your skills do more dmg go Maj, afterall you can keep Maj for pvp too. But whenever you start pvp you have to remove the +dex and go for either +str -con or better imo +str -dex.
I wouldnt mind going -6dex for pvp (+4str+2con) cuz with Sonic Move we can even catch up SR at open field plus that we shine more in pvp at dangeons and such xp places.
well mostly i'm acting aoe nuking in a poleparty with my g/f's WL, lol, and man it rocks WL+Glad+SE+PP lol odd combo i know but once you get settled with mp management for glad its a deadly aoe group
I'm gonna go tallum but she holds the agro the most also from the stunners but my weapon isnt gonna be dm*kesh or even kesh*kesh i can't afford it so using tsu*sls +6 atm ^^
I have never tried a poleparty with my Gladi, i lvled him so far to 75 with mostly solo (oop SE with vr3) or in catas group with a BD and another DD. I love pole with my WS tho.
Have you tried this poleparty in interlude?
Ihavent tried it but tallum with tsu*sls should work great for pve.
Wow please don't give this guy worthless information.
The best way to pve is going to be +5 str, and +4 dex, all - con, with tallum and over enchanted focus duals if you can get them. Otherwise stick with your dual kesh.
wit, or int do absolutely nothing for a glad, i don't even know where he got that from.
And for A grade pvp, i would go +5 str -5 dex, leave your con alone, or if you really want +4 con and - dex. Dex has become the gladiators most worthless attribute in pvp, so if you really want to +con, then - dex too. For armour i'd still stick with tallum, just upgrade to kesh*dam.
When you get into S grade, then obviously you want s duals, and IC, however if you're planning on drac light in sgrade, just forget about it and stay with tallum. You'll get a better boost, and the pdef you lose is negligeable.
poling may be very dangerous with -9 con from tatoos. once you gatherer all mobs and started wacking, it wont mather, but pulling them might be dangerous with low HP.
I'm pretty partial to just having two tats on my Gladiator, especially since Interlude is here. I went with +5 Str -5 Con because it works well for what I need. Tallum Heavy, Dual Kesh's and I can easily run down enemies with Sonic Move, and unleash a punishing volley of damage in very little amount of time. The same way mages use casting speed to affect you, I use attack speed to counter it. If I get more hits in faster, I win.
If you're slowed, you pretty much are hosed for the battle. But now with Sonic Move and no -Dex tats, you can easily catch up and drop a few moves on the person and easily win the fight. I've found it's probably the best stuff for me to wear as it stands at this point, and is even better in Interlude. Of course, S grade is surely IC and DLE*Tallum Blade Duals, and the point is to just outlast the opponent ;)
WIT Tat's are completely worthless now, just to add to this thread. The reason Fighter char's used to where them is because it effected the chance of de-buffs landing, which, in C5, was changed.
war cry and duelist reuse are not affected by wit...they are physical skills...faster attack speed, faster reuse
whats the reuse time of your warcry and duelist and what setup do u have? With the same setup my reuse time without the +wit was 2mins and after the +wit its 1min.
with -dex and sonic move you can still catch most classes in the game. This is the first reason why +dex is useless for a pvp glad, even with +5 dex, a gladiator still can't even catch a mage in DC, much less any other class. So why + dex and sacrifice con since the plus side is that with your con untouched or ++, you increase your survivability against archers and daggers.
Now, Since the refresh rate on glad skills were cut by like 50% in c5, you really don't need the atk spd bonus from both tallum armour and kesh*kesh. This is the second reason why dex is useless, increasing your atk speed is not worth what it used to be for pvp since we already get a higher refresh rate without a high atk spd. So i would keep the tallum armour and ditch the duals in favour of kesh*dama for pvp. It will increase your survivability, and increase your dmg output without noticeably decreasing the refresh rate on your skills.
for pve, -10 or 11 con only sux if you're trying to tank. Since you're poling with your g/f's warlord, i imagine she's the tank, which leaves you free to be a DD. pve DD's don't need con.
war cry and duelist reuse are not affected by wit...they are physical skills...faster attack speed, faster reuse
whats the reuse time of your warcry and duelist and what setup do u have? With the same setup my reuse time without the +wit was 2mins and after the +wit its 1min.
Duelist and warcry are not affected by wit, since they're not magical skills. In the same way that silence doesn't affect glads, wit does not affect them either.. duelist will reset in 1 min anyways if you have the right atk spd, since it's refresh rate at base atk spd: 333 is 2 mins i believe. Turn on dueslist before you turn on warcry, and warcry's reuse time will also shorten to slightly over a minute.
Well first off i'm not actually pulling the train, lol, the WL does.. i just nuke with storm/buster whenever i can and smack in between
But yes, it still works btw Tartaros ^^ mobs spread a little wider and all but aslogn as the WL keeps the in check there's nothing to worry about, just keep on nukin'
With Tallum and Kesh., base Dex., Zerk and Haste 2, Duelist is almost spammable. Theres only like 15 seconds in between from the reset. War cry is a bit longer, maybe 35-40 seconds.
If you get CoV (750-850ish A. Speed), that reset time in between is down to about 5 seconds, lol.
