I'm trying to do this Sword of Solidarity quest in Talking Island village, yet when I try to talk to the Blacksmith, after receiving the initial message from the main guy at the starter place, it just gives me a blank box, after I click the "quest" link.
Yup I think it's broken. I just did a full file check, and rebooted, etc making sure it wasn't anything on my end breaking the game in some way. I log back in and the message box for the continuation of the quest is still flat blank.
This is totally lame, I need that sword. I looked at these newbie quests up before hand so I could easily get into the game with some decent gear. I'm broke as a joke, being new. :(
i can get you a weapon on bartz in the interim. if you close the petition window, or even relog, the petition will still be active. note that you cannot make a second petition while you have one active. also note that the in-game GMs only speak english as a third language, you may have more luck if you go to the website www.plaync.com (http://www.plaync.com), log in, find a link that says "ask a question" (thats the tricky part, they try to hide this link) and you will not be limited to 356 characters to describe your problem, and the answer you recieve should be at least vaguely intelligable.
The current event gives your first newbie character a free NG weapon, then a free D grade weapon once you hit 20. Have you tried that yet? Then you can sell that Sword of Solidarity.
Ok, so I got an email this morning from the dev team telling me they advanced my quest for me, but apparently the quest is still broken or something. Anyways, I completed it, and I got 7,000 soulshots, plus my Sword, and a bunch of weird crystal things! Hahaha. That's a lot, definitely a quest for newbies that SHOULDN'T be broken..

grats! there is also another quest, its a bit harder, that you can get in the magic guild on the same island. to complete it you have to find the spirits of mirrors quest mobs, there are three of them hiding on the island. reward for the quest is pretty much the same as the sword (echo crystals and red pots), but you get a staff as well. also the quest on the west side of the island (i think its called "ranchers plea") that gives you 2 orange healpots per every 10 spiders you kill, the orange ones are like 5 times more expensive and four times more effective than the red ones O.o
...oh and the echno crystals. you can use them by right clicking. they make pretty noises. thats it. like reccomending someone they are fairly useless but very good addition to game.
im playing my first time on official server and I have problem with tis Q too.. I went for the Q to Grand Master Roien and then I went for next part of Q to Blacksmith Altran...
