I've heard of and seen a few different ways of playing a Heiroplant in Olym, and PvE. I will discouse how I liked playing mine. Which I did for about a month on the PTS.
For PvE I prefered a drac with focus. And +4 str, this was the best dmg for 77+. even tho your acc is less, I had on a normal bases 99 acc (fully buffed). You can go to the HS and get lvl 5 and below curse and your acc gets upwords of 114 (with bow) sometimes higher.
As a side I also carried a angel slayer with Haste, and a Arcadia mace with Acumen.
As for armor: I tried many different ones. Some where good some not quit so good.
I tried IC set: but I didn't like it so much. -2 dex isn't so hot specially if you plan to use a bow. then you also have a much lower cast speed in IC(heavy armor), and your masteries don't make up for that.
Maj heavy: nice set, weights too much, good acc, specially with a bow, and pretty good dmg out put! like IC I didn't care for the lowered cast speed...but I'd deffenetly would keep one of these around.
Tallum Heavy: I really liked this set, good dmg, but atk speed was awesome, I could get atk speed close to what any normal Archer has once I got PoF. This set is best used if your going to fight nuking mobs (like in pagens/MoS). But watch out, with a bow and constantly using PoF means your mp will wear out fast!
Light Maj: I liked it, close to Maj heavy a lil less acc. a good set if you face stunners alot. I'd stick to Maj heavy unlees you need to heal alot, and if your not using a bow, then I'd not use the set.
Drac light: this was my primary set, great atk speed, great P atk, and pretty **** good P df. Simular to d/c light but has more weight limit, and better P df, also don't have the para resist that d/c light has.
I'll tell you, When I did the olympiad, I was 87 and 8. on the last week gaining 468 points. I have +9 root chance, +9 mana burn power, +5 sometimes more erase cost (doesn't have chance).
I've seen a few different styles in there, but what I found that works best for me, was no tattoo, or +4 dex - 4 con. I preferred Drac light over IC, cause of the cast speed, and P atk/P atk speed in drac. I used a IC shield, cause it has the highest P df for a shield, and I can utalize my Bless the shield buff, and blow alot of atks, very useful VS's archers, close meely, and Shields can now block Magic atks.
For this reason I went with Angel slayer W/ Haste, that I managed to get to +8 (infact got it to +11 before it broke going to +12 :( ).
For that I was able to get about 700+ atk speed. With zerk 868 to 900. with Fury close to 1k. (tho I have baium)
So I'd buff up using sps (not Bps), and dc robe set, and arcadia mace.
You'd also would need A drac with focus, and a drac with crt slow. Reason being is you need to be able to range while in the olym, and if you face a Destro with their high dmg, and high HP/CP you need to kite them to win, block WW helps alot, but if you can get crt slow to land switch to d/c set and kite with the bow, they hurt bad if you stay in close and try to meely with them. expence set up, sure totally think it is...would you make back on this totally.
you'd win 95% of your matches. like I said I was 86 and 8...I lost only to lucky lethal's. really good glads, and destro's that got in close, or to SR that drained my mp so I couldn't heal any more. Ol's are easy to beat. Mages are easy to beat, Tanks are easy to beat, Archers aren't too hard. summoner's are a pain (mana burn them after you erase)...daggers are easy.
Do you need boss jewelry to win: no, but it helps, specially if you have zaken, baium, and antharas. Tho how underrated it is, I'd highly recommend that PP's get orfen for the ++ hp heals. Every lil bit helps!
