So I'm coming away from WoW to try something new and Lineage has always looked really cool. I just have a couple questions to help get me started.

This game is very overwhelming at first, it's sometimes hard to decide what to do. I am thinking of going Orc Fighter and maybe eventually a Destroyer. Is that a good choice, am I going to be useful to myself and others?

How long does the initial update take, it seems like forever =P..

Also, I'm not finding death effects. From the sound of it, it seems really brutal (item loss, level loss, etc..). If someone could ellaborate that would be nice.

It's hard to say how long the update will be as i don't know how far along you are.

As for the hardships in L2....

Their is exp loss on death and a chance for a death penalty.

You lose xp when u die and may incure a death penelty (Need to buy a recovery scroll from grocery store) you cant drop items now when u die, unless ure a red with +5 pk's

Till level 9 he gets Luck skill which prevents him from loosing XP and drop stuff.
Since level 9 he's out in wilderness :)

I too came from WoW and the initial game type for L2 is point and click, though i heard you can make it so its WASD...still dont know how...i also bought L2 online...spent 40 bucks on the epic collection download thing...and have yet to recive my ingame item...

heavens....
from what i have read in the forums, is that you need to log into yur ncsoft acct and pick which toon you want to have it on.
then it takes about a week or less to get it.

again....thats all from what i have seen posted.

You get the mask during maintennance window, which happens every Tuesday morning (nnot sure of US time, it's 17-19 Central European Summer Time)

WASD is not possible in L II to date. And the game is not designed to make it work anyway, so keep it to a sensitive mouse.

Rofl, yeah...its is...its called enter chat, the FAQ guide has it in there, and its one of the game tips. Options, game, enter chat. BAM keyboard useable and no f1-f12, i love the num line, it makes this game that much easier
