Ok, so as some of you may be aware from my last post, I have started a couple of new character's, one DE mystic and one warrior.. Im trying to decide which I prefer.
What I have noticed so far is that my warrior is capable of doing LOTS more dmg currently than my mystic. Which surprised me as I thought the mage characters would have a higher dmg output than the warriors.. So I thought maybe im doing something wrong!? I have all the latest lvl spells that I can get, (wind strike being the main one) and I have upgraded my armour and weapon as much as I can.. (Although my weapon isn't great!)
What determines how much attack power / damage a mystic does?
On the weapon you have, look at the M.Atk, thats what you want high for a mystic.
P.Atk - Physical Attack
M.Atk - Magic Attack
so for fighters, P.Atk is what you want
mystic, you want M.Atk
What mobs are you hunting? At low levels, mystics should be able to one-shot most anything with a decent weapon, so I don't see how your warrior could be doing more damage (unless he is using a bow).
The damage a mystic does depends on
1.) The square root of his or her MAtk, which in turn depends on various factors such as buff status (does he have Empower buff from a Dominator or Shillien Oracle or Shillien Elder? Does he have Dance of Mystic from a bladedancer?), the weapon used (higher grades mystic weapons give better MAtk), his level and the amount of Weapon Mastery he has learned.
2.) Targets MDef, which depends on their jewellery, level, buff status (too many to list).
3.) Skill's power rating.
So weapon mastery is defo worth taking? Also I dont have a great weapon on my mystic and I do have an amazing one on my Warrior due to him being created first and being my first char, he got the Interlude weapon... But only the first token.. Will my mystic be able to get the higher lvl token?
