Player Questions Started Last reply 16 posts
I have some questions and I cant seem to find the info through forums and various sites.. but I may not be looking in the right place.

Do blunt weapons cause better damage on undead mobs, or does weapon type not really matter.. only the stats.

What is the blue chat that I see alot of players talk through. It doesnt seem to be one of the basic chat commands. Also how do I access it.

Is it worth starting crafting on my DE or should i just make a dwarf alt to craft with.

When Manoring, is it worth it to resell my farmed items to the vendor once I resell them or make an auction character and sell them that way.

Lastly, Im interested in pets. I think the wolf idea is sweet. Is it worth having and can they be used in pvp or pve only.

Thanks

1.) No weapon type has a bonus against a particular race of monsters. However, you will find that many monsters have a 'blunt weak point', which means blunts will do more damage. Skeletons are usually among these. On a whole, blunts do the least damage of any weapon type.

2. It's hero chat. You won't access it for a long time, so don't worry about it too much.

3. You can't craft the things a dwarf could craft on your DE, period.

4. There is no auction system for anything but clan halls. It is worth making an alt that sits in Giran, observes the market prices and decides based on that what to do with your manor rewards - it might be worth saving them for doing some crafts for profit, or just to sell them like that.

5. Wolves don't help in PvP unless they vastly outlevel the enemy (i.e. 60+ wolf vs no grader), and they are only arguably helpful in PvE. Check l2pets.com for more information.

Dont ever sell basic mats to vendor!

If you want to sell basic mats, sell them to player buy shops.
Great thanks guys. this helped alot.
Or even better: do not sell them to buy shops. Set your own sell shop overnight, you can set higher price than in buy shop. It's slower, but you sell them eventually.
Ok 2 more questions.

First are there bags that I can store stuff in my bank and inventory.

Second, I cannot figure out what is making my weight so heavy. My armor seems to be the cause, but I dont know if I can raise my strength to carry more. It didnt seem this bad when I first created him and I havent changed my gear. Any suggestions would be great.

EDIT. Would 12000 soulshot at 1 weight a piece be my problem..
Check the individual items in your inventory for weight. All the different things add up. The weight of a large number of shots is a common problem, and the solution is just to carry less shots.
Also, keep the total number of items in your inventory low, as there can also be penalties for this. The threshhold for item count penalty is usually 80%, and becomes a factor when you try to talk to an NPC about a quest.
No bags in this game.

But you can put stuff in your warehouse. You can put up to 100 different items in your warehouse regardless of weight if you are not a dwarf. If you are a dwarf you can put up to 120 different items.

If you got Echo Crystals that might be what is causing the overweight issue. They just play music for a few seconds. So if you like them put it in the warehouse. If not just throw it away or try selling it to another player. Although selling it might take a long time...

If you don't have echo crystals just put materials, recipes and anything else that isn't potions, shots and your equipment in the warehouse.
ok thanks. It seems that I cannot bank the soulshot for beginners.. so will just have to suffer till i use them up.
Suffer? Geeeeee ... be grateful you got them for free, can you imagine how much they cost later :D
I know they are expensive.. I just wanted to bank them..
the benefit of free shots is outweighed by the encumbrance penalty he must be carrying. Surely it's a bug he can't store newbie shots..
All you can do with newbie shots is put them in the trash (which would be foolish until you get a D weapon), or use them.
thats nuts - what the point in giving 12k of shots out when most chrs can't carry that amount

Well, you are not given 12k of shots off the bat.

My thought is that the player kept doing quests where he was given these shots and is not using them up quickly enough.
