1. perma red is where you can no longer work off karma and maintain your level. somewhere in the region of 1 m karma (or 70+pk's) where that many deaths would severely ritard your re-levelling.
2. you cannot drop an augmented weapon, nor can you trade it. it is yours FOREVER until you remove the augmentation.
3. sineaters can now only be done by players who are under level 80. regardless of karma.
you dont need Blacksmith of mammon to make an augmentation. you only need to get to the regular smithys.
regular bs wont talk to chaotic character ,i didnt say mammon but i dont think he will talk to you either if im not mistaken, and if true you cant un aug wep till you wash carma.
I would then have wep i couldent use if i happend to delvl past grade and couldent sell
Ive washed my share of carma and know that lots of pks are harder to wash then few, Guess i figured perma red was where carma just stops coming off.
and btw if your red at the starting lvl 4 or 7 or wherever the death penalty starts, dying doesnt remove carma you have to kill mobs ( not sure what happens if you have tons of carma)
And if you delevel yourself to 4 or 5 it should be easy to work off karma on low level mobs there.
The point is once your karma is off, you can wash your augments.
Also not sure if mammon wont talk to chaotic players..I don't see why there is such a restriction though, if there is any at all
Also, if a player is willing to go beyond a certain point and have too much karma, they are normally not thinking about going back to normal in the first place. These characters are for the sole purpose of being chaotic. At that point he/she becomes just a griefer.
Its NCSOFT LAZY way of making the game more "dynamic" without really putting any effort into being creative. Its a cop-out.
Even if you try doing the Sin Eater quest while red, you probably cannot finish it because it requires you to go in town for some places like Giran and talk to some NPCs.
