Does anyone know what drops berserker blades? i am almost c grade and have decided to try and craft one. i know i will have to wait a while to be high enough lvl to hunt what drops them but its fun to have something to work towards.
Don't expect to craft any weapons by drops. The drop rate is too bad on most weapon key items to be reliable. You can end up changing grade and still not have enough of them. Exception: if you buy or someone gives you some blades and you have materials to spare (manor, manor, manor). Up to C-grade: Almost no craft shops for C-grade weapons exist. Crafting of weapons at this point is a waste of materials. Visit the official site. Check the crystal count (ie. this is the number of crystals you will get if a dwarf crushes the weapon) of your desired weapon. All weapons with the same crystall count can be evenly exchanged (without cost) at the blacksmith mamon. Note: exchanging weapons can be tricky. Sometimes you need to change from a weapon type to another until you get the desired option.
If you can't afford a weapon of equal crystall count, buy a lesser one from the Giran Luxury shop and upgrade it to the mamon with the use of Ancient Adena. AA can be acquired by exchanging seal stones (they drop from mobs in catas and necros) at the priests of dask or dawn (make sure you are on the winning side!). Making cata/necro parties provides both good exp and seal stones, so try to do it as often as you can. But still, this might take too long. So, when you have a sufficient number of seal stones, you can try and buy the rest from private shops (our "mindelss" friends will be happy to serve you). Don't buy directly AA, preffer the seal stones since most of the time they come a bit cheaper (don't forget to register every week at the 7 signs). B grade and above: Things get tricky here. The reason is that the drop rate of weapon key items as well as their reciepes is really screwed. Add to that the existance of 60% reciepes and there you have it. You need all the mats you can gather in order to buy reciepes and weapon key items (blades, edges, etc). You may need to try several times in order to get something. Alhtough in B-grade it is still doable, in A-grade it is really hard (for a legitimate player). If you buy it (for almost twice it's crafting cost) or risk crafting it, it is a matter of personal view. Good luck.
If I were you, I would craft an emi bow and exchange with mammon. Emi bow craft costs around 6-8m(don't buy the materials from sell shops..), depending on current material prices and the key materials are easy to buy, 50k/each. Upgrading a lower C grade weapon to top C weapon isn't worth it, you need 2m+ AA to do it, which you'd be better off either selling or using to buy enchant scrolls or whatever.
