now that they can't break, i'm going to try making my own. trying to get one for my BoP...ok, so now the questions:
(1) is it possible to level them to 10 on any lvl mob?
(2) if not, what would i have to kill to get a SC to 10?
(3) does it help to kill 2x hp mobs?
(4) should i use the crystal as soon as the mob gets at 1/2 hp, or wait till it's almost dead? or does it matter??
(5) any other tips plz???

to get a stage 10 you need to lvl the crystals on the mobs near aden (not sure which ones but near dev castle)
get the mob to under 50% hp and use it
You need to have the "Enhance your weapon" quest active. There used to be a list of the mobs in Startics but it is not there anymore. The mobs on devastated castle level it to 10 (doom guards or knights, can't remember). Also kranrots (giants cave) take it up to 8 if I remeber well.
I can confirm Doom Knights near DC in Interlude. I have levelled a crystal to 10 on some other Doom mob there (either Warrior or Trooper, don't remember, but I suppose both should work). Takes a couple of hours to level a crystal from 0 to 10 for a lvl 6x EE solo (may be longer for a melee, though, as the mobs don't drop herbs).
Yes, lvl your crystals on Doom Knights/Warriors/Troopers all the way to 10. On my Pally, I can usually get a crystal lvled up to 10 within 2 or 3 buff rounds (the red ones are a pain though for me for some reason, while the blue and green lvl up in no time... prob nothing, but...).
