I got so far 2 drops of 67lvl stones, one at woa and one at fp cata. Do they worth using?I mean there is no chance of a negative effect (useless maybe) and it can be removed right?
It can be removed and you do not get a negative effect, just that you cannot sell or trade or drop your augmented weapon. I got a 58 mid grade on my Dama and gave me +15,9 to Max MP, +6,2 p.Atk, +40k to weight limit and a very nice sparkle on the weapon itself...
You might get useless effects but the sparkle is great and you can always remove the augmentation
You don't get the stones or the gems back sadly, if Ihadn't already augmented my pole, and lost the 3 life stone drops to party members, I'd sell them, wait a few weeks and buy the same stone for 1/4 the price.
Some of the Purple (rare) and Red (very rare) refinements are downright insanely overpowered and are most certainly going to get the nerfstick.
I'd get a stone, refine, see if you get a good result, then wait until you get another, and redo the refinement until you get a really good one. Then sell them.
Certain passive and active refinement abilities are just too insanely good to pass up.
If you remove the life stone, do you get it back or is it lost ?
Do you also get the gemstones back ?
And it costs anywhere from 390K or more to remove the augment...at least for the level 61 augment that I removed. Hope you get a good augment the first time.
Almost broken refinement for 390k (remove previous if necessary) + 69k?
I am not rich by any means.... but I can and have blown through more than 450k in one night in teleport costs helping clannies with this and that before... I blow through a LOT more than that for a siege.
Refinements are the single coolest thing this game has implemented in a LONG time. You can make a weapon truly unique through them.

Yeah but what solo was getting at was, right now the price of stones is vastly inflated. So using them instead of selling them is a waste of potential profit. Theres no real hurry to refine your weapon, not like the good augments will be used up. So best to sell while the price is high, and buy when it drops later on.
I mentioned it only because wealth is relative. Sure, that isn't much adena to you or me, but as has been revealed in many other posts, not everyone has enough loot to repeatedly try for the right augment...even at level 75+.
